Here's some stuff I remembered seeing:
Lee Joon talks about why he quit being an idol and became an actor
What does acting mean for Lee Joon, who has completely transitioned from being an idol to being an actor?
Herald POP for an interview about his film, \'Lucky,\' and to discuss his career change from singer to actor.
When asked what changed after he decided to only do acting, Lee Joon replied, "I have always worked hard. Comparing when I was doing both in the past and when just doing acting now, I cannot say that I am putting in more effort now. I worked hard then, and I am working hard now. I am the same . . . My first speciality was dance. I\'ve done Korean dance, ballet, and I was a singer. However, out of all the different areas, acting is the most interesting. I think I will have the most fun with this," explaining why he chose to be an actor instead of a singer.

Lee Joon also stated, "Nowadays, there\'s not as much prejudice against idols who act, right? Idol-actors aren\'t necessarily bad at acting.
After School\'s Nana gets good reviews, and she was an idol for a long time. Siwan is a singer, but he is also doing great as an actor, so I think the fact that starting off as an idol and your acting ability have nothing to do with each other."
So what does he think is a pro of being an idol/actor? Lee Joon answered, "To be honest --and I think everyone will agree --if you are an idol, it is easier to get casted." He then added, "But strangely, I used to not get cast all that much," laughing.
Love his honesty. Also, acting is much more of a stable career choice than the idol life - at some point you\'re out of the idol industry but you can pretty much act your whole life.
It\'s true though if you\'re an idol it\'s easier to get caster even if you suck
what is it anyway with that prejudice towards idols who act?
Many people belive that an idol that acts usually does it badly. Because it\'s not their main work, because they\'re distracted with comebacks or producing music. There\'s also the thing that they\'re not actors themselves, I think it\'s a Korean believe that if you are not specialized in something, you\'ll probably do it bad. On the other hand, using an idol usually will make the movie/series popular on their fandom, so them who act gain this prejudice of "not-good-actor-because-idol".
Even though it makes sense that\'s not really the case at all. Funny thing is that in some countries it\'s the exact opposite... if you don\'t do anything besides singing, or acting or whatever you\'ll be considered talentless or something. So most celebs end up taking at least 1 or 2 presenting/MC gigs during their careers, if they didn\'t already do something that is completely unrelated to what made them famous in the first place.
