Chapter 17: Lie Cheat Steal
January had passed Von quickly, it seemed like the warmer the months got, the faster they would move. Passing him like a hand out the window as cars passed by. He didnt want time to pass him Von and leave him standing in her shadow. Gunther waddled beside Kick, grunting every now and then. Kick watched his breath plume in front of him. They were working their way through the crowded streets, passig strange people left and right. If this was bad, he would hate to see Detroit. They tried to make it to Vicky's apartment, it wasnt working so well. The helmet-less teen wtched his feet scuffle across the concrete below his shoes. A sudden pang hit his shoulder, and found himself looking at a frail, bundled girl, scuffling catch the bag she dropped. it fell into her arms as she offered Kick a hand. He took it. They stood like towers, even. "Nice save" Kick complimented her. she tucked her blonde hair behind her ears that were covieniently hidden behind a mantel collar. " Thanks." her voice was muffled from the deep blue scarf that was belted across her mouth. Her Turquoise eyes danced across his face in the shadows that passed by. he just stared, confused, mouth slightly agape. She swallowed hard and let her eyes fall onto his chest. Her mouth was dry. She blushed hard and slid past him, losing herself in the crowd. "But!" he turned and pushed through people. How familiar her face was, it was alarming.

"VICKY!" Gunther dropped his mantel onto the wood floor and made his way through the küche to the fridge. Vicky came down the stairs, tooth brush dangling out of her mouth. "Why yes, Du can make yourself at home, thanks for asking." sarcasm flooded her voice as she rolled her eyes. "VICKY!" Kick practically flew to her and clung to her collar. " HELP ME!" Du know how that goes." she waved her hand "anyway, after Marshall's parents died in a car accident, he became violent, and took is anger out on Jessica. She left with her mother, who was oblivious to her bruises.They Went to Mellowbrook to escape her divorced father and Marshall. They were to Bewegen back, but her mother sent her to her father back here. Sooo.." She took a breath "Her father didnt know she was coming, and her mother thoought she was already there and went to live with her fiance. So baisically, she's stuck with Marshall, wherever he is." Kick watched her face twitch whenever she spoke. "theres one thing i promised Jessica," He rose from his sitz "I would come for her. and i intend to find her." He pulled Gunther from the fridge " if i had to lie, cheat, steal," He gulped "or even die, i will come for her." he tromped out the door with a slam. " Lie, cheat and steal huh?" Vicky mulled over that a while.
