JOE MCELDERRY SECURES THE NEW Jahr NO.1

After just missing out on the Weihnachten No.1 slot to Rage Against The Machine last week, Joe McElderry clinches the New Jahr No.1 with his debut single The Climb almost outselling the oben, nach oben five, just two weeks after claiming The X Factor crown.

Joe sold 196,000 copies of his debut single this week against Rage Against The Machine who came in at No.2 selling 69,000 copies.

Joe sagte of getting the No.1, “I am so happy that the single is No.1! Thank Du so much to everyone that has supported me, this had been the best Weihnachten ever and I want to wish everyone a very Happy New Year.”

Unfortunately, Joe did not reach Weihnachten number one with his single 'The Climb'. He sold 450,000 copies in the first week of his release, whereas, because of the campaigns against Simon Cowell, Rage Against The Machine sold 500,000 copies with their single 'Killing In The Name'. This was announced last night on the radio.

It is the first Jahr that an X Factor winner has not achieved first place on the Weihnachten Chart.

I don't know if you've heard, but there's a huge campaign, especially on Facebook, to get Rage Against The Machine's single to Weihnachten Number 1 in the UK, whihc will be the first time the X factor winner has not been Weihnachten Number 1. Joe is only just starting out in his Singen career, and I think it's absolutely dreadful that they are trying to stop Joe from being number 1.

We all need to keep on downloading his song to get him to number 1! Du can buy it from iTunes oder Amazon, oder buy it on the shops. There are only a few days left, and it will be a distaster for him if he doesn't get there.

Do it for Joe and his career everyone!!!
