160504 Lee Joon Gi and IU's Drama "Scarlet Heart: Goryeo" Changes First Broadcast datum

Looks like we’ll be able to meet this all-star cast sooner than expected!

On May 5, SBS’s “Scarlet Heart: Goryeo” announced that they will begin airing on August 29, following the end of “Doctors.” This also means it will be SBS’s Monday-Tuesday drama.

Previously, they announced that the broadcast datum was confirmed for sometime in September, which has evidently been revised since.

“Scarlet Heart: Goryeo” is a 100 percent pre-produced drama that is set in Korea’s Goryeo Dynasty, but with added modern and fantastical elements as well. It is based on a Chinese web novel and drama.

The drama will also feature an all-star cast that includes Lee Joon Gi, IU, Kang Ha Neul, Hong Jong Hyun, Nam Joo Hyuk, EXO’s Baekhyun, and Ji Soo, to name a few.

It has been revealed that IU will not be attending any Musik awards shows this year.

She did not attend the 2015 MelOn Musik Awards and is not planning to attend the 2015 MAMA (Mnet Asian Musik Awards) and 2015 Golden Disk Awards.

On November 19, various news outlets reported that IU is intentionally boycotting the 2015 MAMA due to past conflicts with Mnet. The reports claim that IU was disappointed with the results of the 2014 MAMA.
