Plaid is a great fashion choice no matter what time of Jahr it may be. With the Design being a Fan favorite, it appears to be a coveted piece of fashion for idols as well. Recently, K-Pop Icons IU and EXID's Hani were spotted rocking some similar fashion sense - but who wore it better?
It was a difficult decision choosing between these two lovelies, but despite their beauty I have to vote IU for wearing this plaid rock from 'Feridot' best. Something about the way IU utilizes the rock brings a new life to the style while Hani may have stumbled upon a spare from f(x)'s "Rum Pum Pum" wardrobe. IU's matching hemd, shirt pairs well without looking overwhelming. It is tucked in to highlight her slim ant waist and accented with a big loose black bow to keep with the color coordination of her outfit. It is functional but still casual and fashionable for her live stage. What's great about this perfect match up that IU flawlessly executed is that upon first glance, one would assume it is a one piece. However, she playfully added spot-on matching patterns to the outfit, which complemented the rock rather than made it stick out like a sore thumb. It's not the rock that is the main piece - SHE is the main piece.
It is not to say that Hani had no fashion game, her schoolgirl style for 'Clash of Kings' is chic and charming on her. However, Mehr can be done - I wasn't won over necessarily oder thought "I need that in my wardrobe" when first seeing Hani. She looks like she rushed over to the event after a Tag at private school. The only thing I'd like to see is Hani's hair on IU because it would stand out vibrantly against the plaid colors. While IU's charming style has her gracing the runway, Hani's plaid schoolgirl rock concept may have her (or her stylist) back in fashion class 101.
