With so many musical acts in South Korea, there's new Musik every day. It's rare that some of the oben, nach oben K-pop idol vocalists go neck to neck with each, but that's happening right now.

This October, four of K-pop's most respected young vocal talents will go up against one another. Soloist IU, JYJ's XIA Junsu, Girls' Generation's Taeyeon, and Super Junior's Kyuhyun each have begun promotions for October solo releases.

Each of the four are highly respected in South Korea for their expressive vocal talent, and particularly known for their ballads and heartfelt songs.

Kim Taeyeon became the first Girls' Generation member to release her solo album, "I." Since the song came out, Taeyeon won awards on two weekly Korean Musik shows, "Show Champion" and "M! Countdown." Since her Musik video was released on Oct. 7, it has been viewed over 10 million times on YouTube.

Cho Kyuhyun of Super Junior, Taeyeon's label-mate at SM Entertainment, also made a comeback this month, with his album "Fall, Once Again" on Wednesday. The song for his Titel track, "A Million Pieces" appearing on Korean Musik charts immediately after being released.

While Kyuhyun and Taeyeon already released their albums in the first half of the month, two other beliebt K-pop vocalists have upcoming releases.

The pair's ex-lablemate, XIA Junsu of JYJ (and formerly of SM Entertainment heavyweight TVXQ) will release his mini album, "Yesterday," on the 19.

Meanwhile, Korea's vocal darling IU, who recently made headlines for confirming a two-year relationship with indie singer Jang Kiha, will release her album "Chat-Shire" on Oct. 23.

Indie band Hyukoh recently teamed up with High Cut and did their first-ever fashion Foto shoot since the start of their career.

For this Foto shoot, the four members showed off their individual unique charms while sporting oversized outfits and eye-catching body paintings.

IU revealed that even she has had her moments with her manager.

On the episode of China’s Sohu TV and iQiyi’s “Star From Korea,” aired on August 7, IU says she was a little bit of both when asked, “Are Du as harsh to your manager as Cindy is in “Producer?”’

“We’re human too, so it’s inevitable that we see each other’s good sides and also get on each other’s nerves after spending 10 to 20 hours together,” she says. “I also have a quick temper. I used to argue a lot with my ex-manager. I even threw the car key saying I was never seeing him again.”

Korean hip-hop artist Verbal Jint has been drawing much attention for his confession about IU after his appearance on a Kürzlich Running Man episode.

The Running Man team was pitted against Yoo Jae Suk and his hip-hop team consisting of Jessi, San E, eichelhäher, jay Park, Eun Ji Won, and Verbal Jint.

Verbal Jint was labeled as humorous, but also the weakest link as he was beaten Von Kim Jong Kook in a relay race and had troubles holding a cup around his mouth and chin in the same game earlier on Verbal Jint’s entertaining performance and character had Running Man Fans curious about who he is.

Chinese and Thai production teams will be working with producers of the variety Zeigen “Dream Team” to create a spin-off of their own.

According to an affiliate of KBS, the Korean-Chinese remake of “Dream Team” will have 10 episodes in total, four of which will be aired in both China and Korea. The Korean-Thai collaboration will have 13 episodes, and three of them will be aired in Korea.

The Chinese production team is planning to film in Korea and will start on July 22 and 23. They were originally planning to come in June, but the MERS situation made it hard for the crew to gather oben, nach oben Chinese...
