“Lisa!” A banging came on her trailer door and the two jumped apart, staring at each other. “David’s looking for you! And have Du seen Hugh?”
    Lisa cast a positively evil glance down toward the front of Hugh’s pants. “No, I haven’t seen him! But I’ll be right there!”
    Hugh glared at her, crossing his hands in front of himself protectively. “You haven’t seen me?”
    Shrugging playfully, Lisa started toward the door to head outside for the shooting. “Not yet…”

    Hugh glared at her as she headed for the door—then panicked. “Wait! What are Du doing?”
    Lisa looked back at him. “I’m going to go out to the set. Du are going to wait a while, make sure no one’s around, and then leave here and come find me there.”
    “Right out the front door,” Hugh muttered, sitting back down uncomfortably. “What, your trailer doesn’t have a trap door?”
    “Yours does?” Lisa stuck her tongue out at him and opened the door only just enough for herself to fit through. One of the crew members was standing a few feet away, waiting for her. “Hey, Jim. I told Du I was coming.”
    “David sagte to bring Du straight to him. He wants to get started.” The man shrugged apologetically. “Wasn’t my idea. And no one can seem to find Hugh.”
    “I’m sure he’s around here somewhere,” Lisa started, when suddenly Eddie came staggering backwards out of one of the buildings, trying to balance a long plank of wood on his shoulder. Ducking quickly out of the way, she reached for Jim’s arm to pull him with her, but missed—and the board hit him square in the gut, sending him toppling to the ground with the wind knocked out of him.
    Ooooh… I hope he’s not dead, sagte Lisa’s shoulder angel.
    But payback’s a bitch, aint’ it? sagte Lisa’s shoulder devil.
    “What—happened?” Jim gasped, trying to breathe. Lisa grabbed his hand, hauling him to his feet.
    “Have Du done something to offend Eddie lately?” She joked, starting toward the set.
    “Who’s Eddie beating on now?” Hugh’s voice came floating from behind her, and she couldn’t help it—she blushed.
    “Where have Du been?” She asked casually, turning and waiting for him to catch up. “Jim came and got me but no one could find you. And then Eddie nailed him in the gut with a two Von four.”
    The glint in Hugh’s eyes told her he was thinking exactly what she had been two Sekunden ago.
    “Tell me, Jim,” Hugh said, draping his arm over the man’s shoulder. “Do Du believe in karma?”
    “Huh?”

    “Good morning, boys and girls,” David sagte dryly as the three of them walked in. “Cheesy eggs?”
    “Looks like brains,” Lisa sagte as she walked past.
    “Don’t spill; they’ll stain,” sagte Hugh as he followed her toward the House’s apartment set.
    “And that would be a pain?” Katie asked slowly, looking from one to the other, then back at David. “You’re certainly in good moods today.”
    “I get to make out with Hugh Laurie,” Lisa said, leaning on the couch.
    “Yeah, about that.” Hugh’s ‘aw-shucks’ schoolboy modesty after that display in her trailer was making Lisa want to burst out laughing. “Right—is there any way Du could just set up a tripod and leave the room so I’m only humiliating myself in front of this one?” He jerked a thumb at Lisa, who was looking at him cross-eyed.
    “Let’s say no,” sagte David, settling himself behind the camera. “Shall we?”
    “So walk me through this again so we’re clear,” Lisa said, pulling Hugh over toward her. “We ended up here, right? Away from this wall. And we’re going to work our way over…”
    “Couch, bureau, hallway? Right?” He looked to David for confirmation.
    “Shot ends with Du guys going down the hall, right,” he answered. “We’ll have to do a few different camera angles, but honestly I don’t think this is going to be Mehr than a few takes. It’s not supposed to look rehearsed anyway.”
    “And no lines for Lisa to forget,” Hugh cracked, and was walloped in the arm for his trouble Von his co-star.
    “Aaaaaaaaanyway…” David said, pointedly looking at the camera. “If Du don’t mind…”
    “Do Du mind?” Hugh gestured for Lisa to Mitmachen him just off-camera, holding out his hand. Lisa gave him a positively disgraceful look, walking over to him.
    “Not at all,” she answered, looking him right in the eye.
    “Action!”
    Finally… Lisa’s eyes floated the message out to him, and he gave her the tiniest smile before reaching out to wickeln, wickeln sie his arms around her, pulling her body flush against his.
    “In case Du need a reminder,” he sagte wickedly into her ear as they began to get ready for the shot, “leading up to this moment there was quite a lot of frenzied kissing… the removal of your jacket… and now—”
    Lisa set her hands firmly on the lapels of his jacke and raised an eyebrow at him. “I remember distinctly. Shall we?”
    Hugh’s eyes burned at her and he leaned in—Lisa gripped the fabric even tighter as their lips finally met again, after what seemed like so long… an involuntary whimper sneaked its way out of her, and Hugh had to focus very, very, very hard not to grin at her. This was, after all, serious business.

    Crushing her lips against his and walking her backward towards House’s couch, Hugh reached his right arm even further around Lisa’s waist, drawing her close enough to feel her stomach against his, moving his left arm up almost toward her shoulder blade before it was stopped Von her right arm, currently raised in the process of reaching for his jacke to pull it down off his shoulders. Hugh started to pull his arms back, feeling the pull of the fabric against his neck as Lisa tugged impatiently at the offending material. The feel of her lips moving against his was slowly driving him out of his mind, but oddly… it was different. This time, it wasn’t a stolen moment that would not come again until the writers made up their minds…
    Lisa’s tongue was lightly tickling at his lower lip and Hugh realized that they were possibly taking too much time about things; David was going to end the shot if they didn’t get a Bewegen on, and so he suddenly released her entirely, using both hands to rip the jacke away from his arms and reached back out to touch her again, their lips never separating. Lisa pressed her face even closer as she found something else to do with her hands—now that his jacke was gone…
    When he felt the backs of her fingers brush against his gürtel on their way to grab hold of the bottom of her shirt, he gasped into her mouth, his hands and arms suddenly freezing as his brain short-circuited in its effort to process the sensations that were all clamoring for his immediate attention. When he realized that Lisa’s hemd, shirt was clinging stubbornly to her body and he wasn’t assisting…
    Are Du a gentleman? Help the lady! His mind sang out gleefully, and his hands covered hers, tugging this way, then that way, until finally the kleidungsstück was discarded and her skin—
    I don’t know how much Mehr of this I can take… Lisa felt the cold air on her stomach and unconsciously moved closer, taking in Hugh’s body heat to warm herself as he lowered his right arm back around her waist, spinning her gently in the other direction to Bewegen toward the schrank on the other end of the room. One small, almost inaudible sign escaped Hugh’s lips and Lisa was done even pretending she was thinking of anything other than just getting him alone, off camera, away from everything in the world except them… as soon. As. Possible.
    Hugh was reaching back to brace himself, grasping for the piece of furniture they were moving toward, trying to prevent her crashing into it unawares, and Lisa took that opportunity to free up her arms, reaching her right arm around his neck, drawing his head down just that little bit farther and squeezing her left hand up between them to touch his face, drawing him in. For just one moment, their KISS ceased to be the frantic, bruising entity that it had started out as, and just existed; Hugh’s nose rubbed gently along the side of her face as she tempered her pace, her lips just barely caressing his, their bodies just barely touching until Hugh’s arm tightened around her and pulled her back into him as his roving hand behind her finally encountered the bookcase.
    “Oh—” Lisa gasped as he fell vorwärts-, nach vorn into her, his weight falling on the arm that was now anchored against the wood. As she reached her left hand up even further into his hair, holding him right where he was lest he try to Bewegen away, she realized he was still moving forward, and so she steeled herself to try and arrest his movement… but the only part of her that answered the ‘stop’ message from her brain was her legs. Hugh’s upper body continued its vorwärts-, nach vorn trajectory, but the rest of him was met forcefully Von Lisa’s hips, lying in wait. The resulting reaction sent stars exploding behind his eyelids and hers, and suddenly neither of them were much able to focus on the KISS quite as well. Lisa breathed out hard into Hugh’s mouth, which hung slack as he tried to figure out what had just happened and how it had been possible in just that teilt, split second…

    Ok. We were going… that way? Hugh quickly leaned vorwärts-, nach vorn just enough for their lips to meet fully again, nipping at her bottom lip and thinking savagely, I’ll get Du for that, woman…
    Lisa just clung to his neck, not allowing Mehr than an inch of Weltraum to find its way between them, trusting that Hugh would guide them into the hallway without sending them both crashing into something on the way. Her fingers scratched at the skin on the back of his neck, just enough to make his hair stand on end, and he squeezed his arm around her just as his hand encountered the doorframe that led into the hallway, and ultimately, toward the end of the shot. Lisa blindly reached out with her right hand to steady herself on the Wand as they made their way haltingly down toward the bedroom door, then slowly drew her lips back away from his, catching her breath, even as they moved. Hugh rested his face briefly alongside hers, and Lisa couldn’t stop herself—she kissed the spot just below his ear, and then quickly reached up just as they passed the off-camera mark, drawing his earlobe into her mouth and teasing it with her tongue.

    “Lisa!” Hugh gasped, putting his hands on her waist and pulling back even as the sounds of cameras being reset and the directors calling for them began to float over from behind the wall. “Ok. Do not do that again.”
