*A/N: Wow, I honestly did not expect to take this long to update. I apologize to those of Du who were waiting on a update if there are any of Du left. Just to refresh your memory, the idea behind this fanfic was to basically give a little bit of background into House and Cuddy's college days together and tie that into the events in LTEC. This chapter is the last chapter of my fic. I hope Du all enjoy it. Oh, and ignore the Titel name. I couldn't come up with a title.*
*Flashback*
It was a week before Lisa Cuddy’s first Tag of medical school and she was just beginning to settle into her new apartment. Suddenly, she hears a knock at her door. She peers through the peephole of her dole and sees a delivery guy.
“Special delivery for Lisa Cuddy,” the delivery man said.
“That would be me,” she responded.
“Please sign here, ma’am,” the delivery guy said. He then motioned for a the rest of the delivery crew to bring in a handsome oak desk.
“I don’t understand. I never ordered a desk,” Cuddy said.
“Don’t worry about it. It’s been paid in full. I’m sure the note explains it all,” the delivery guy sagte as he handed her an envelope. She opened up the note and it read as follows:
Partypants-
I figured Du might need this for med school seeing as how Du went through all of undergrad without a desk. It certainly beats studying on the coffee tabelle *wink wink*
Cuddy folded back the note and placed it back into it’s envelope as a huge smile formed across her face. Even without a name written on the note, she knew exactly who had sent her this desk.
*Flash vorwärts-, nach vorn to present day*
As Cuddy examined her old med school schreibtisch in her redecorated office, realization hit her as to who was responsible for bringing in her old med school schreibtisch into her office. The same huge smile she had on her face over twenty years Vor formed on her face again.
A few moments later, Cuddy exited the elevator and made her way to House’s office. She could see through the clear glass walls of his office that he was getting ready to leave.
“Cuddy, miss me already?” House smirked as she entered his office.
That smug know-it-all smile infuriates her and she silently swears to herself that she will not give him the satisfaction of knowing why she’s really here.
“Don’t flatter yourself. I’m just here to check-up on your patient,“ Cuddy asked hoping that House wouldn’t see through her façade.
“She’s fine, but she’s going to have to take medication for the rest of her life. Can Du believe this? She’d rather be skinny and pretty than healthy,” sagte House exasperated.
“All that effort that people go through to conceal who they really are in order to fit into some type of social norm because they fear that they won’t be accepted Von other people otherwise just puts Mehr pressure on other people to conform to the same social norm. It’s a vicious, endless cycle. It just shouldn’t be so hard to be accepted for who Du really are,” sagte Cuddy.
“No, it shouldn‘t. Are Du hungry?” asked House
“What?” sagte Cuddy a little shocked.
“I asked Du if Du were hungry because I am and if Du are two, I figured we could go grab a bite to eat together,” sagte House.
“I’m starving,” responded Cuddy. As they headed towards the door of House’s office, Cuddy paused for a moment.
“House, thank Du for the desk,” she said. A slight nod of his head showed that he understood her and together they headed out the door.
