They never did datum but he did dated the actress, Diana Hyland who was nearly 20 years older than him and while filming this movie, she died from breast cancer and he flew to Los Angeles to be at her funeral and he had it hard when he came back to New York to film SNF and the actors who film SNF with him sagte he was all to himself, they sagte that he would sit in a corner and grieve.
