The story of Lily & Snape is absolutely amazing, yet incredibly sad, and what he did for her was very brave and proved how much he loved her. But I think she never felt the same way about him, and although I like Snape's character more, I just prefer Lily & James more as a couple...it's sad we didn't get to know more about them in the books, cos I think they're lovely ;)

... It was the fics that did it :) I used to like Lily & Snape together, because James was a jerk, but then I kinda understood exactly why he was such a jerk. It all makes sense now.

I love Lily & James! They are my favorite HP couple ;) Yeah, he was a jerk, but he was 16 (I think) at the time and we all know how 16 year old guys can sometimes act... And I think he loved her a lot! He was protective of her even when she hated him. I truly believe that they loved each other very much.

I love them both SO much, but Lily and James a teeny weeny bit more.

My favorite HP couple!! I love them, they are great together, I believe Lily is one of the main reasons James became more mature and they loved each other (and harry) soo much, Snape's story is sad, unrequited love is always sad, but I don't like them together, and Lily cared for him but she didn't loved him, she loved James, he was the one that made her happy, so yeah lily and James ftw!
