Those few simple words touched us all. I'm here to tell my story. Yours will be different in some small way, yet still the same at heart.
I learned to read at age two. It was my kindergarten teacher who first introduced me to Harry. I was five at that time.
I had a bit of trouble with the longer words, so my mom made it into my bedtime story. I remember sitting up in bed, listening to her read, visions of what was happening forming in my mind.
Every time my birthday came around, I'd get the Weiter book available. My Halloween costume for at least one Jahr was Harry. I even had a Harry Potter-themed birthday one year.
Then came the movies. I saw the first in the theater. I was still a bit young, so Voldy scared me. Later, when the Sekunde movie came out, I saw the previews. The one I most clearly remember showed the Polyjuice sequence. I told my parents I didn't want to see that one, oder the rest.
As I grew up, so did Harry. When my eighteenth birthday came around this past summer, I knew what I wanted to do. My plans were to see the last movie in the theater. It marked the end of my childhood and the end of Harry Potter.
Harry Potter was my entire childhood. His story will sit forever on my shelf, and in that special
People will ask, "After all this time?" when I am old and gray. My response will be the same every time.
"Always."
Harry is a large part of our lives. For instance, my birthday is July 31, the same as Harry and JKR. I'll always have that connection to him.
Harry is the Boy Who Lived, and he will live on in our hearts.
