Close your eyes through your entire practice session. Do not picture your way around the fretboard, hear your way around it.
Hear yourself to the Weiter note, to the next, chord, to the Weiter scale. It should be a relaxed exercise, not a strained one. Like when you're at a distance from a battery powered clock.
If Du strain to listen to its tick Du cant hear it but when Du relax and allow it to come to you, Du can hear it clearly.
