The Friends went into CC's old backyard, and she showed them the way to the pool.
"Oh!" Rune exclaimed, and jumped right in, followed Von Private and Lexii. Soon everyone was splashing about in the water. Everyone except Monique.
"Aren't Du coming in?" Dylan asked, swimming to the edge closest to her.
"Uh, no thank you," Monique replied.
"Come on, Moni," Rune begged, swimming up Weiter to Dylan.
"I sagte no thank you," Monique repeated. "I'm perfectly happy here."
"Come on, Rune," Dylan sighed, picking up Rune, and putting her on his back. "Let's just keep swimming. She doesn't want to come."
Lexii also noticed Monique wasn't coming in the water.
"Come on, Monique! Everyone's having so much fun! Du HAVE to Mitmachen in!"
"Lexii," Monique said. "Please, just leave me alone!"
Dylan, Rune, Kyle, and Rico saw Lexii trying to convince Monique, and swam over to help.
"Come on, Monique," they all said, pulling on her arms.
"I sagte no, and I meant it!" Monique repeated, starting to laugh a little.
Rico grabbed Monique's leg, and pulled her right into the water. Monique stayed under for a few seconds, then resurfaced, taking a deep breath, and laughing.
"See?" Kyle said. "It's not so bad, is it?"
"Yeah, but-" She was cut off, when she realised she couldn't use her legs right.
"NO!" she growled, as her legs turn into a tail. Everyone in the pool turned and gasped.
"What the...?" Rico grunted.
"You're a mermaid!" Rune cried.
"Yeah, so what?" Monique asked, smiling.
"It's just really...surprising..." Bandit said.
"I didn't know Meerjungfrauen existed!" Mech-Skipper exclaimed.
"I'l not a normal person," Monique replied, climbing out of the door. As soon as she was on cry land, her tail turned to feet again. Rune still stared, amazed.
A couple hours later, the group were back at the house. Lexii suggested they play a game, and Rune and Private asked for hide-and-seek, so that's what they played.
Kyle was it first, and he counted to fifty-four. Everyone else hid around the house. Rune was still looking for a place, when Kyle had reached fourty-eight.
She found a loosened section of paneling, and climbed inside the wall.
"He'll never find me here," she giggled.
When Kyle finally reached fifty-four, he raced around the house, finding everyone quickly.
"Ok," he announced, when he thought everyone was found. "I choose Lexii next!"
"You can't!" Bandit exclaimed. "Rune isn't here!"
CC sighed.
"Where is she now?" she groaned.
"Let's go find her," Mech-Skipper sighed.
The group searched all over the house, with no sign of Rune.
"Where could she be?" Mech-Skipper muttered to himself. He leaned against the wall, as he thought, and fell through the loose paneling.
"What the...?" he exclaimed, finding him self in a tiny Weltraum behind the wall. He took a step forward, and fell down a long tunnel.
CC thought she heard a yell coming from one of the hallways. She followed where the sound came from, but saw nothing there. She turned to leave, but her keen eyes saw that one of the panelings wasn't straight. She careful pulled it back, and revealed a small space. CC left to quickly grab a torch, and shined the light in the hole.
"There's a whole tunnel in here, going downward," she muttered, stepping inside. She carefully made her way down the steep descent.
Mech-Skipper jumped to his feet, flippers at the ready, when he found himself in a white room, with a bright light. He looked around the room, lowering his flippers slowly. He heard a noise behind him, and spun around, his flippers raised again.
"Who goes there?" he snapped.
"Nay, answer me; stand and unfold yourself!" came a tiny voice, which Mech-Skipper recognised at once.
"Rune, what are Du doing here?" he asked, as the little raccoon came out of hiding, a playful grin on her face.
"The little room was my hiding spot, but I didn't know there was a fall, and I...fell. Then Du came."
Suddenly, the sounds of grunting and short screams were heard from the tunnel, as CC tumbled into the room.
"Holy chicken breath!" she gasped, then saw Mech-Skipper and Rune. "Where the fisch cakes are we?"
"No idea," Mechy replied. CC got to her feet.
"Well, we'd better get out of here," CC decided. Rune ran past her, and scrambled up the tunnel, only to tumble back down.
"It's too steep and slippery," she sighed. Mech-Skipper looked around the room.
"What about that small window up there?" he asked, pointing.
"How will we get up there?" CC asked.
"I found some big, wooden boxes!" Rune exclaimed, scampering into a darker corner. She came out, trying to pulled a big crate. CC went behind, and pushed it out further.
"Two of these should be enough," she decided. She and Mech-Skipper pushed it below the window, and placed another kiste on oben, nach oben of it.
CC climbed onto the kiste pile, and Mech-Skipper handed Rune up to her, and jumped up himself. He pushed on the window, and it burst open. They three of them found themselves in a bigger room, with high ceilings, and lobsteres everywhere.
"And I thought everything was getting better," CC groaned.
Two passing lobsters spotted them, and grabbed them. They had to call two Mehr to secure Mech-Skipper, as he put a up a fight. Rune trembled in the lobster's claws, and CC struggled against their hold.
"Let me GO!" she snapped, pulling away from the lobster. Mech-Skipper escaped his captors, and went to help Rune, but he was suddenly buried in a pile of crustations. CC quickly dodged the on-coming lobsters, and jumped onto an over-hanging beam above them. Then Blowhole rode into the room.
"Well, well, well," he said, surprised. "It seems the little girl pinguin and her robot friend are here. And what's this?" He leaned vorwärts-, nach vorn to his seg-way made him level with Rune's face. "It's so nice to see Du again, Rune."
Rune started at him, frightened for a second, then glared.
"Wish I could say the same!" she snapped. Blowhole turned his attention to Mech-Skipper.
"Lobsters, deactivate him!" he snapped.
Mech-Skipper struggled against the lobsters, and CC jumped on oben, nach oben of them, giving MS time to escape.
"How did Du find me?" Blowhole demanded, as CC and MS dodged his minions, while trying to get to Rune.
"We didn't on purpose!" CC snapped back, as she kicked the lobsters away from Rune. Mech-Skipper rushed in, grabbed Rune, and, putting her on his back, belly slid away as fast as he could. CC followed, sliding across the floor. She reached her Friends at the door, and they ran out as fast as they could.
Bandit wandered down the hallway, calling for Rune, CC and MS, who were all missing. Dylan had been the first one to notice MS wasn't around, then Lexii pointed out CC was absent too. Bandit decided to go and Suchen outside. She looked around the front garden, and a little ways down the street.
"Where the hedge are they?" she snapped to herself. "This is getting ridiculous! Who's gonna go missing next? ME?" as she sagte this, a blur suddenly rammed into her, sending her on the fast flight down the road.
"YIKES!" she screamed, before realising, what she was being pushed by.
"CC?" she exclaimed, as sagte pinguin slowed down to a stop, and Bandit stood to her feet.
"Sorry, Bandit!" CC gasped, jumping up, and straightening her glasses. "Are Du ok? Where's MS and Rune?"
Another blur of black, white and grey flashed by.
"There they are!" Bandit pointed.
"And there they go," CC added. "Why is he not stopping?" She and Bandit belly slid after them.
Von the time they caught up with MS and Rune, they had stopped, and Rune was shaking from the speed.
"That was fun!" she gasped, giggling, as CC picked her up.
"Well, maybe MS can give Du slide rides another time," Bandit laughed. "Come on, the others are probably getting worried."
"Ok!" Rune said, still giggling.
"Oh!" Rune exclaimed, and jumped right in, followed Von Private and Lexii. Soon everyone was splashing about in the water. Everyone except Monique.
