Some Auszeichnungen are still gegeben out. I received two new article-writing Auszeichnungen recently, and I believe that the Auszeichnungen for fanning people, number of years of membership etc are still being handed out (but I haven't gotten any recently myself). I'm not sure about the Zufällig ones. I think the holiday ones have been stopped.
From what I understand, new Auszeichnungen are no longer being added to the site, but the ones that had already been made are still intact and can be earned as per usual.
For example, Du can still earn Auszeichnungen for adding new friends, submitting articles, and being a member of Fanpop for a certain amount of time, but holiday Auszeichnungen are no longer gegeben out to those who log in on special days of the year.

I thought the Artikel Auszeichnungen were a Kürzlich addition. I received my 10-articles kappe about a Monat ago, even though I'd written 10 Artikel over a Jahr previously.
Yeah, I think they came much later than the others. They might have been around for a Jahr oder so? I'm not sure who made them (if it was the same artist who made the old caps) but I don't think any Mehr have been added to the site since.
