Ed Sheeran has put a Gaelic spin on one of his biggest hits \'Thinking Out Loud\'.

The singer recorded a new version of the song for a forthcoming Irish language compilation CD 

will feature on the forthcoming album, which is the latest in a series compiled by Conradh na Gaeilge and Raidió Rí-Rá in conjunction with 2fm.

RTÉ 2fm\'s Eoghan McDermott, who is curating the compilation, announced the news on his radio show last night (December 22).

The presenter revealed that Sheeran recorded the song whilst in Australia earlier this year.

Kodaline, The Coronas, Delorentos, The Riptide Movement, HamsandwicH, The Academic, Hudson Taylor, Keywest, Daithi, Seo Linn, Roisin O and Preasráiteas also feature on the album.

Meanwhile, Sheeran recently announced that he is planning to take a break from social media.
