I love her character development although it's quite cliche and I ship her with Shizuo

I really hate her because I think she made shizuo and izaya separate. if she didn't Intervene at shizuo and izaya's fight, maybe it have more good ending without retire of izaya. I don't think shizuo just kill izaya...

Why do you hate Varona?! She's a cool character. She reminds me of Akako Koizumi (Magic Kaito 1412) and Vermouth (Detective Conan).

Also,she stopped Shizuo from killing Izaya. If not for her,Shizuo would have killed Izaya and he'll end up arrested by the Tokyo Metropolitan Police or Shinichi Kudo.

And she has a fighting spirit that matches Ran Mouri's. She is a great shooter,something I also saw on Detective Conan characters that can shoot with great accuracy.

She has the personality of a plank till the end (emotionless character done WRONG, boring, etc)

Is arrogant despite failing ALL her missions (lbr she's weak AF only depending on big @ss weapons to take out those she can't deal with)

Thinks everything is plain without her in it (quite the opposite lmaoo)

There's just.. way, waay too many reasons ugh. The worst thing is what she tried to do at the end of the series, making her irredeemable in my eyes. I know Shizuo tried to kill Izaya, but so was Izaya. It was only THEIR problem, she had no business stepping in whatsoever. I haven't seen Ketsu yet, but in the light novels she only stopped Shizuo not to stop the fight or save Izaya, but to kill him herself. Legit, she took out her gun and aimed it at Izaya and if not for Celty we all know what would've happened (only cuz Izaya was already hurt, what a b****) like NO, no one does that and gets away with it!

P.S. I can literally name 1000 characters with much better shooting accuracy

I strongly sympathize with that opinion.I don't think Varona is a really important main character in durarara. but in ketsu, but shizo&izaya's last fight, Everything seems to be going through her. I don't think there's any reason for her to intervene in the fight.

Btw none of those options would've even happened since Celty was already observing through her shadows around the city so she would've immediately intervened the moment Shizuo tried to deliver the final blow on Izaya. Varona was never needed for anything. My problem is her trying to kill Izaya herself, not her stopping Shizuo.

Celty is the TRUE savior, Varona only made things worse and therefore does not deserve that credit

I literally just wrote a long @ss comment explaining why i hate her and how even if she didn't intervene Izaya would not have died by Shizuo b/c of Celty already observing everything. Varona didn't do crap but make things worse. The light novels are the original source and therefore have more validity than the anime itself.
Like srsly dude, this is all basically pretty pointless and at the end of the day i'll still hate varona despite anything that happens. Why? B/c it's simply my opinion; and it's impossible to argue over opinions cause no one's going to change each other's way of thinking. That's just how life works.
Anyway i frikkin' hate varona and i'm not gonna change that cause i simply chose it to be that way lmao

Simply I give her (Varona) half of the gratitude and give Celty the other half but if Iza goes dead by Shizu, all of the gratitude goes to Shinichi.
