'I mean,' sagte Malfoy, raising his voice a little more, his grey eyes glittering malevolently in Harry and Ron's direction, 'if it's a Frage of influence with the Ministry, I don't think they've got much chance… from what my father says, they've been looking for an excuse to sack Arthur Weasley for years… and as for Potter… my father says it's a matter of time before the ministry has him carted off to St. Mungo's… apparently they've got a special ward for people whose brains have been addled Von magic.' 'Excuse me,' sagte Malfoy in a sneering voice, 'but what exactly are we supposed to be seeing?' (OP24)

If anything Mehr was needed to complete Harry's happiness, it was Malfoy, Crabbe and Goyle's reactions. He saw them with their heads together later that afternoon in the library, together with a weedy-looking boy Hermione whispered was called Theodore Nott… Goyle cracked his knuckles threateningly and Malfoy whispered something undoubtedly malevolent to Crabbe. 'You can't take points from fellow prefects, Malfoy,' sagte Ernie at once.
'I know prefects can't dock points from each other,' sneered Malfoy. Crabbe and Goyle sniggered. 'But members of the Inquisitional Squad –'
'The what?' sagte Hermione sharply.
'The Inquisitional Squad, Granger,' sagte Malfoy, pointing towards a tiny silver 'I' on his robes just beneath his prefect's badge. 'A select group of students who are supportive of the Ministry of Magic, hand-picked Von Professor Umbridge. Anyway, members of the
Inquisitional Squad do have the power to dock points… so, Granger, I'll have five from Du for being rude about our new Headmistress. Macmillan, five for contradicting me. Five because I don't like you, Potter. Wallasey, your shirt's untucked, so I'll have another five for that. Oh yeah, I forgot, you're a Mudblood, Granger, so ten off for that.'
Ron pulled out his wand, but Hermione pushed it away, whispering, 'Don't!' 'Wise move, Granger,' breathed Malfoy. 'New Head, new times… be good now, Potty… wiesel King…' (OP28)

Malfoy glanced around – Harry knew he was checking for signs of teachers – then he looked back at Harry and sagte in a low voice, 'You're dead, Potter. '
Harry raised his eyebrows. 'Funny' he said, 'you'd think I'd have stopped walking around…'
Malfoy looked angrier than Harry had ever seen him; he felt a kind of detached satisfaction at the sight of his pale, pointed face contorted with rage.
'You're going to pay, ' sagte Malfoy in a voice barely louder than a whisper. 'I'm going to make Du pay for what you've done to my father

'Well, I'm terrified now, ' sagte Harry sarcastically. 'I s' pose Lord Voldemort's just a warm-up act compared to Du three – what's the matter? ' he added, for Malfoy Crabbe and Goyle had all looked stricken at the sound of the name. 'He's a mate of your dad, isn't he? Not scared of him, are you? '
'You think you're such a big man, Potter, ' sagte Malfoy, advancing now, Crabbe and Goyle flanking him. 'You wait. I'll have you. Du can't land my father in prison –'
'I thought I just had,' sagte Harry.
'The Dementors have left Azkaban," sagte Malfoy quietly. 'Dad and the others'll be out in no time…'
'Yeah, I expect they will,' sagte Harry 'Still, at least everyone knows what scumbags they are now –'
Malfoy's hand flew towards his wand, but Harry was too quick for him; he had drawn his own wand before Malfoy's fingers had even entered the pocket of his robes. (OP38)

Malfoy, Crabbe and Goyle, who had clearly been waiting all week for the opportunity to strike without teacher witnesses, attempted to ambush Harry halfway down the train as he made his way back from the toilet. The attack might have succeeded had it not been for the fact that they unwittingly chose to stage the attack right outside a compartment full of D.A. members, who saw what was happening through the glass and rose as one to rush to Harry's aid. Von the time Ernie Macmillan, Hannah Abbott, Susan Bones, Justin Finch-Fletchley, Anthony Goldstein, and Terry Boot had finished using a wide variety of the hexes and jinxes Harry had taught them, Malfoy, Crabbe, and Goyle resembled nothing so much as three gigantic slugs squeezed into Hogwarts uniforms as Harry, Ernie and Justin hoisted them into the luggage rack and left them there to ooze.
'I must say, I'm looking vorwärts-, nach vorn to seeing Malfoy's mother's face when he gets off the train,' sagte Ernie with satisfaction.
'Goyle's mum'll be really pleased, though,' sagte Ron. 'He's loads better looking now.' (OP38)
