The other characters are funny because they have funny personalities. Genie is more forced funny, making jokes all the time - a lot of his screentime is basically filler. And I prefer humor which grows out of the situation.
Or Lumiere...because he is a womanizer.

As I said before I know that Mushu is very funny but he's also very selfish. In both movies the main reason he started doing things was just to help himself and not lose his place as a guardian without caring of Mulan's feelings. (And although he did redeemed himself, it wasn't very nice of him still).

I agree with Swanpride, and that's why I was going to choose genie. But I want to get rid of Merryweather first because I think she's too... childish or something. I don't really like her, too much.

He's my least favorite of the sidekicks. At least the others are likeable, or at least tolerable.
