I *don't* like Ariel and Aladdin as a couple for the same reason I don't like Eric and Belle that much. They're TOO much a like. Aladdin and Ariel both need someone who can be a voice of reason to balence out how impulsive they are, while they can relate to them at the same time. Relationships should not just based around "fun". Especially with the amount of trouble Aladdin and Ariel get themselves into on their own. LOL

So I choose Belle since she's strong, smart and independant, but she'd also make Aladdin think about the choices he make as well

Think of what Belle says when she's reading and describing her favourite book at the start of the movie... "Far off places, daring sword-fights, magic spells, a prince in disguise"...(Aladdin much?) they are OTP
