Since Merida from "Brave" and Sofia from "Sofia the First are new girls in the Disney block they're trying to figure out which group they belong to the "Official" Princesses oder the "Non" Princesses.

hedwig_wolf I think Sofia on the left (non princess), and Merida on the right (princess). Because even though Sofia's a princess she's not going to be in a movie and she's aimed toward younger girls while Merida will be the first Disney/Pixar princess and will be in a movie just like the others.
