I want to make it clear- I Liebe THE MOVIE ALADDIN, I Liebe every character in it- except Aladdin. And finally, i'll tell Du why.
I didn't really organize this well because I couldn't figure this out.

Main issues- Aladdin's sexist/classicism assumptions, and Jasmine's hypocrisy

Scenario: Aladin sees jasmin in the marketplace, falls for her, brings her back to his poor-boy hut, and together they have a herz to herz about how they feel trapped Von their situations. Although jasmin doesn't explicitly state that she is a princess, she does hint that it's not an enjoyable life. "Oh sure, people who tell Du where to go, and how to dress..."
She discusses how she's getting forced to get married and how awful it is. They have a cute moment and nearly kiss, when they're broken up. Princess-in-disguise jasmin is about to KISS straße ratte Aladdin.

Cut to Aladin dressed up as a Prince approaching the town. jasmin is shown to be totally unimpressed Von the big parade, rolling her eyes and scoffing at its grandiosity. Aladin grins his cocky-boy grin and enters the castle, charming the Sultan immediately. After referring to jasmin as a prize to be won, jasmin overhears and angrily scorns them for treating her as such.

Cut to Aladin talking to the genie. The genie suggests Aladin BE HIMSELF. Aladdin's response?
"If jasmin found out I was some crummy straße rat, she'd laugh at me."

WHAT.
1. Du met jasmin in the marketplace and SHE ALMOST KISSED Du WHEN SHE KNEW Du WERE A straße RAT, Du MORON. This means Aladin is just automatically assuming that because jasmin is a princess, because of her royalty, she must be shallow and only want the finest of men. This is a shallow assumption for Aladin to make, and shows he didn't listen to a word jasmin sagte while they were talking at his hut. Even though he knew her when he thought she was also poor, finding out she was a princess illogically and immediately changed his view on her.

2. If what he assumes is true, that jasmin IS shallow and only wants rich, handsome men, why would Aladdin, the boy who wants to prove that there's so much Mehr to him, degrade himself and act as an impostor just to win a girl he assumes has shallow morals? My only assumption is that because as he previously repeats in the movie, he thinks being rich will solve all his problems. I won't fault him for that, growing up poor all his life must really take his toll, but does he need to bring someone else down with him?

Cut to Aladin on the balcony with Jasmine. Aladin tries to act as smooth, confident Aladin who jasmin doesn't care for- but wait! Does jasmin recognize him as the straße ratte from the marketplace?
Aladin agrees with jasmin when she says she is rich, the daughter of the sultan (not that he can dispute), and a 'fine prize for any prince to marry'. AGREES. And gives her the ol' up-down with his eyes. She spurns him once again for being SO materialistic and tells him to jump off a balcony, how DARE he be so shallow, like any other stuffed-shirt swaggering peacock she's met!

...Until, of course, Aladin whips out his magic carpet (no metaphor intended) and jasmin instantly turns into the materialistic, shallow person that she's been insulting others for being this whole film.
"A liar who agrees that I am only a rich, hot prize to be won? GO JUMP OFF A BALCONY! Oh, Du have a magic carpet? Never mind, let me hop on that!"
Jasmine, after discovering this guy not only is lying to her, Schauspielen totally cocky and shallow, but also is trying to win her over with material items (as she was so unimpressed with a giant parade with many other, Mehr impressive magical items) rightfully and admirably spurns him, until he literally scrapes the bottom of the barrel and doesn't even try to win her over with words oder apology, just pulls out his flying machine and wow, she is charmed. AND at this point she should realize, if she suspects that he is the boy from the marketplace, that he is Schauspielen EXACTLY the opposite of what she wants, even as she EXPRESSED to him, which should lead her to the conclusion that not only is she shallow but he was feigning interest/didn't care.

I won't dive too much into the 'A Whole New World' scene but I will say that there, Aladin is being totally possessive and controlling of Jasmine.

During their scene in China, jasmin finally tricks Aladin into revealing that he isn't who he's pretending to be- and he lies again. APPARENTLY HE STILL HASN'T REMEMBERED oder PICKED UP ON THE FACT THAT SHE REALLY LOVED THE BOY FROM THE MARKETPLACE, EVEN THOUGH SHE ACTS TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED WHEN HE LIES AND SAYS THAT IT WASN'T HIM. ("I even send servants to go to the marketplace for my servants! It couldn't have been me Du met"...Jasmine: *sighs sadly* "No, I guess not.") Aladin is clearly so self-absorbed he can't even pick up on what jasmin wants. He just assumes and takes over.

Finally, let's cut to Prince Ali (Reprise).
jasmin finally discovers Aladin has been lying the whole time (revealed Von Jafar, although that scene confuses me; Aladin already lied and sagte he dressed up as a straße ratte to escape palace life, so how would Wird angezeigt him in straße ratte clothes reveal anything? Wouldn't jasmin just see the clothes as his disguise clothes? but I digress.. ) So now (somehow) she REALLY knows that he really is poor, and that he's been nonstop lying to her this whole time, as well as totally ignoring her Ansichten and wants like everyone else, and to oben, nach oben it all off, he already KNEW what she wanted (freedom and someone to understand her and not assume things about her), and should understand perfectly as that's what Aladin wants to. But he is the worst, as he does understand but acts the opposite, because of totally shallow views.
When Aladin returns to rescue them all, there's no conflict with jasmin being upset at him, yelling at him for lying so many times, oder most preferably, getting fed up at him being so shallow, a liar, and basically treating her like crap. Instead, she just immediately welcomes him back and it's like nothing happened. There's no inner conflict, no attitude, she's just excited to see him and it's as if this girl who supposedly is supposed to not be pray to horrible men just keeps falling for his lies, oder willing herself to believe them, regardless of the implications oder non-logic. She's turned into a weaker girl than any of the princesses at that point. What? Du lose major, MAJOR points for me there, Jas.

On oben, nach oben of all this, Aladin treats his Friends like crap. He takes total advantage of Abu (who can be a pain but that's no reason to be rude), AND especially Genie, who shows nothing but kindness to Aladdin, and to who Aladin keeps abusing and taking advantage of. Whenever anyone, especially the Genie, tries to offer him advice, he yells/snaps at them ("Buzz off!") and acts incredibly self-absorbed.

Aladin is also so down on himself , the whole thing about him not being worthy of anyone
but then sings "There's so much Mehr to me" and says "I'm not worthless!". Its like he's both trying to prove himself, but he's self-pitying when it's convenient for him. He always wants to be the victim.

I wouldn't be so bothered Von all of this if Aladin had changed in the end, but he didn't. He's still the same Aladdin. He never apologizes for his actions, except fleetingly, and to Abu, ("I'm sorry Abu, this is all my fault, I've gotta go back and set things straight.") when he should be apologizing to Genie & Jasmine. His transformation is condensed to one sentence- "I gotta stop trying to be something I'm not." Du never see any REAL transformation. And in the sequels & the TV shows he continues to boss Genie around and lie and lie again and again and again, apologizes everytime, and goes back to lying again. The cycle is this:

Aladdin: *lies*
Jasmine: *gets upset*
Aladdin: *depressed and says sorry*
Jasmine: *forgives him*

And the cycle repeats. Over and over. I'm neutral towards/ dislike Aladin in the first movie, but in the sequels I honestly hate him. I won't get into discussing how he's so much worse in the sequels, but let's just say 'Out of Thin Air' has to be one of the most condescending and disrespectful things Aladdin's ever said/sang, although I like the song.

I can't forgive Aladin for all the things I named. Assumptions, being shallow, rude to his friends, but most of all- NEVER LEARNING HIS GODDAMN LESSON.
And jasmin can't be in my oben, nach oben 3. I love her attitude, probably the thing she gets criticized most for and is actually the best part about her, but her actions I find hypocritical and weak.

And that's why I don't like Aladdin.

As many of Du know, I have been conducting a countdown of the most beliebt love's first KISS scenes. It's been a lot of fun and I'm glad so many people participated! I must say, though, that I find it hilarious that each Umfrage had about 40 participants and less than half of them commented. I mean it even says in the Titel that your vote won't count unless Du leave a comment! It doesn't particularly bother me, I have plenty of Zitate as it is, I just find it funny. :P On to the results...

8. Aschenputtel and Charming's kiss

At first I was surprised that they were the first couple to go, considering...

How can Du say this little girl is ugly?
How can you say this little girl is ugly?
I don't like judgy people very much, because I used to be bullied. (I wear different clothes and dream to much) This is also why I adore different people. Merida is in my oben, nach oben 5 Liste of all the Disney princesses, and I've heard a lot of people saying they don't like her, so I decided to write this Artikel about her, since I find her beautiful and interesting.
This is why I think she's so disliked:

1. People hate her looks!! They say she's ugly. Which I don't really get, because she has long red hair and blue eyes. -Cough, a bit like Ariel, cough.-

2. They don't like the story. I've also seen somewhere,...

I wrote this Artikel based in Disney Wiki's trivia.

Snow White: Snow Whites's name means white as snow and she lives in the bavarian Germany, as Rapunzel.
Cinderella: Aschenputtel is derived from the French word Cendrillon, which translates in English as "little ash girl".She lives in French.
Aurora: Aurora means "sunrise" oder "dawn" in Latin. Probably she lives in Germany .
Ariel: Ariel means "lion of God" in Roman and she lives in Denkmark.
Belle: Belle means beauty in french and she lives in France.
Jasmine: "Jasmine" is a Persian name for a beautiful blume and she lives in middle east (a town called...

I decided to start a series of analyzing the DP Couples in depth (and later, the other Disney Couples) after I got bored one day, and wanted to write a series of articles. Du can recommend me which couple to do Weiter in the couples section. So here is how it is going to go. I will first explain my insgesamt statement about the couples in a paragraph, and then I will analyze each scene to look at the inner and outer feelings of the characters individually an the couple itself.

Here is the first DP Couple Analysis: link

This is a Liste of the ranking of the most girly and feminime Disney princesses. Clothing, hair, accessories, personality affects

11. Merida
Obviously, she is the less girly princess in the line. That curly hair, she doesn't care about her looks either. She isn't the typical "damsel in distress" who only cry waiting for her prince to come. Playing with weapons all day, how can she be the first place in this countdown?

10. Mulan
Even though a warrior, she still has some girl points. She stays graceful, but still hold the tough girl trait. She can't be the last in this rank

9. Rapunzel
Interestingly,...

So I thought I'd take a break from the official princesses and find Schauspielerinnen for the non official ones, the four main ones. Giving each of them a oben, nach oben five Liste is too much work so I just chose the best actress for each forgotten princess.

Esmeralda-Mila Kunis
One of the most respected Schauspielerinnen in the industry right now. Mila can definitely pull off playing a headstrong but beautiful leading lady. Plus she's got the same exotic features as Esme. Adriana Lima would also be a good choice, but there's abit of a language barrier.

Megara-Olivia Wilde
She plays a somewhat similar role in...

I haven't written an Artikel for a long time and since it's DP songs theme now I decided to write about my Favorit DP songs from each movie because I don't really have a Liste of my favorites, but I hope that's okay. Anyways, enjoy and don't forget to comment!

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs:

I Liebe all of the songs in the movie and I've been having including the one I have now 3 favorites, before joining Fanpop my Favorit was Someday My Prince Will Come, when I joined it was With a Smile and a Song and now it's Whistle While Du Work. I Liebe it because it makes me want to dance and it's...

Hey everyone, so this Artikel is about my Favorit DP wardrobes. I´m taking into acount the whole wardrobe of just the original film, so outfits from the sequels are not included. I am judging the wardrobe as a whole, so even if a single outfit of the wardrobe is my favorite, I have to take the other ones into acount as well. I might write another Artikel later with my Favorit outfits. As with other lists, I might change my mind later on, so here it is.

10.Pocahontas
I do like her dress, but I don´t find it that special and it´s the only thing she wears during the entire movie.
My favorite...

I don't understand why a lot of users on Fanpop don't seem to like Cinderella. I think she is overlooked. People think she just sits around and does nothing but I think there is Mehr to her than that. I think she is a strong character tho not as strong as the newer heroines such as Belle & Jasmine. I Liebe Cinderella's optimistic attitude & she works hard to get what she wants. I think she is smart. She is mature. She is kind. It amazes me that she still has a positive attitude after all those yrs of being abused Von her step family. I wish I can be as positive as she was. I think Aschenputtel is a stronger character than Snow White & Aurora. I think she is the strongest out of the classic heroines.

*These countdown results are based off of the Ansichten of the Disney Princess fans, and not my own.*

9) Ariel- Our princess of the Monat didn't get so far in this countdown. She's bubbly, sweet, and isn't happy with her father's restrictions (Although we learn that there is very good reason for them in The Little Mermaid 3). Some sagte that she was childish, immature, and wouldn't take the job seriously, and with her somewhat reckless decisions and selfishness, most agreed she would make the worst Queen out of the princesses.
