Is Debatte Necessary

hi, okay i asked this Frage because ive read a few Bücher and met a few people that aren't okay with debate, now i didn't purposefully go "looking" for Bücher about debate, but little facts just get stuck in your head over time, figures :P

so, some beliebt opinions is that debates only cause the other person to hold Mehr strongly to their views

debates can break people's spirit if proven wrong

debates can lead in separating of people

there is no "winner" in a Debatte meaning people are the type not to let out on their beliefs easy, oder meaning, even if Du do "win" it's not really beneficial to anyone

there's only one thing that i have "for" Debatte which is that debates r fun ^ ^
and that's all that i have in favor of debating, sorry :\ oh wait wait, i think they're educational somewhat, so here goes

Some people like to Debatte because they want to educate people who are not as informed as they should be on an issue oder point

Others, really just like talking about everything and everything so they use Debatte as a way to let out their opinions oder review the opinion of others

nope i am one, i am naturally not the shapest nail in the shed but its nice to be to learn how to Debatte and see the do and don't of it.

I have reasons. I'm in Africa. I lack time and the internet connection to go in depth. I was just answering the question. :p ;)

This is not always the case; every Debatte is different and every Debatte has a different outcome. Besides, what's wrong with holding Mehr strongly to your views?

Actually, it's Mehr likely to be arguments that do that. Arguments are like debates, but... angrier.

Whether someone wins, oder not, each person will have gained Mehr knowledge and Mehr things to consider. So, really, it's beneficial to everyone.

Some people don't like debates because they're far too easily offended. It's not good to be far too easily offended.

*nods* true on the last one, some people do get very easily offended, it's okay to hold strongly to your veiws if they're very important to you, but being open minded and accepting other veiws is also good

however if i am talking about something that will make me upset, like...say, someone is in favor of murder and cannibalism and i am against, if in the end they have Mehr points and they *win* it can be very upseting, Du know what i mean, something that Du believe strongly in and then someone else just hates
