Knowing that his comments can tip the scales, he used reverse psychology to help David C pull in the votes. He couldn't in all honesty think that David was the REAL American Idol. Good yes, but not blockbuster!

Puh-lease. David Archuletta was a good enough singer, but I never he thought he was flawless, and the judges only criticized him maybe ONE TIME all season long. He just wasn't as good as they claimed he was. I felt like they wanted their RadioDisney-esque winner and hoped they'd found him in Archie...they hadn't.
Besides, David Cook was much, much better than David A.

What is American Idol supposed to be about? New talent? Young talent? Promotable talent? Star Search? Kids? No. Who is the best overall talent, with quality voice, ready to record, good stage presence, musical style and versitality. David Cook has it all! That's why he got 97 million votes. Archie has no style, not good stage presence, he can carry a tune and tries hard, wishes he could do a duet with David Cassidy?, looks like McCulley Culkin from "Home Alone" or a young Robbie Benson whom I cannot stand either. Archi is too giddy to be a star.
