Guinevere’s dynamic with the knights of Camelot

Gwen has to some extent a bond with the knights of Camelot. Sir Elyan is her brother, Leon was her childhood friend, with Lancelot there is a mutual respect, Gwaine is a good friend. To me the writers are establishing that Gwen is in a way connected with them all. Guinevere is the future Queen of Camelot. So the knights are bound to pledge their loyalties to her and protect her when it is needed. It will not be because of her Titel and their duties, but out of their respect and Liebe for Guinevere herself.

daenerys Well said. That's one of the things they have done right with the character of Gwen. Besides Percy, who I am sure will come to love her too, she has a good relationship (independent of Arthur) with each of them. It's one of the things I look forward to seeing more of in S4.

EPaws EXACTLY...she has the other three covered. Her BFF - Merlin, Her Hottie Hubby - Arthur, Elyan - Her brother. It is about mutual respect. Camelot, and what it respresents is the sum total of the sovereigns ruling it, in spirit. There has to be mutual respect.

lv2rt You're right, Dea... This is a spoiler so try to ignore if you can. But apparently Percy gifts her a ring of flowers from his horse during a joursting match. She is the in royal box with Uncle and the crowd claps when she receives it. Season 4. So that's five knights down seven more to go. : )
