It\'s been absolutely ages since Zayn Malik and Perrie Edwards called it quits on their relationship (sob hiccup blub), but the drama between \'em still isn\'t showing any signs of slowing down.

After talk of a pretty brutal break up by text, followed by romance rumours involving Buberry model Neelam Gill, the latest story designed to make Zayn look like a douche claims that he\'s now playing both girls off against each other.

Err, this is the boy who grinned like a loony at Liam\'s pizza hat, yes?

While both Zee and Pee have been keeping their personal feelings on the down low, those pesky insiders have of course got a LOT to say on the matter – particularly when it comes to Zayn\'s rumoured new flame, Neelam.

Apparently Zayn\'s using his new close friendship with the model to try and make Perrie jealous - which isn\'t very nice of him, but is also quite likely to be a load of boo-hickey.

"Zayn is basically playing the two women off each other", an insider told Reveal. "He\'s texting Perrie and trying to keep his options open until he works out what he wants.

"Zayn said, \'I don\'t want to hurt you, Neelam is just a good friend. We are not as close as everyone is saying."

Despite the fact that sources had previously claimed they\'re no longer speaking (we can\'t KEEP UP), the insider continued: "Perrie knows from past experience that Zayn wants her more when he thinks he can\'t have her, so she\'s just batting his texts away."

"That only made Zayn more determined to keep Perrie on side, and he\'s been sending sentimental messages ever since, talking about their close bond and all the fun they had."

Riiiiight. We\'re saying nothing, it makes us too sad.
