its a great show! but was anyone else really disappointed in the ending the first season?

I was. I expected Mehr of that! I was thinking that Abel will kill Cain, Esther becomes a Queen and hoping Abel and Esther would get together. It really made me believe and hope that they will... Especially the ending credit pictures with them hugging so romantically and stuff. The story isn't finished and it won't be... Because the Autor died... I'm really disappointed that it had to end like this. :(
