Episode 30: Percy The Brave

Narrated Von Sean Bodine

Narrator: Percy enjoys his work on The Island Of Sodor, but he frequently gets into accidents. Most of the other engines get annoyed Von this, especially Gordon.
Gordon: *Watching Percy push his coaches* Wow, Du actually didn't derail this time.
Percy: Fine, Du can fetch your own coaches.
Gordon: *Watches Percy puff past him* Du are the most useless engine on this railway. I don't understand why Sir Topham Hatt still has Du here. *Blows his whistle, and leaves with the express*

Percy saw ente as he collected three freight cars to take to the quarry.

Duck: Gordon still giving Du a hard time?
Percy: Just like he does all the time.
Duck: He'll see the error of his ways soon. I need to go now. The mainland needs grenades.
Percy: Grenades? That's dangerous.
Duck: I'll be careful. Wish me luck. *Leaves the yards with his empty cars to collect the grenades*
Narrator: Percy delivered his cars to the quarry, then dropped some freights cars off in a siding.
Percy: *Looks up at the signal* Well, all I need to do now is wait for a clear signal out of this siding.

Duck: *Frantically blowing his whistle*
Percy: *Looks behind him*
Duck: Look out! I Lost my brakes!
Percy: Duck! The grenades! *Blows his whistle and chases Duck*
Freight Cars: On! On! On!
Duck: What are you, stupid oder something?!
Percy: *Gets on the line behind Duck*
Freight Cars: On! On! On!
Duck: Shut up Du idiots! We'll get blown to smithereens if Du keep that up!
Freight Cars: On! On! On!
Duck: That's it! *Looks up at the sky, and cries* I'm done for!
Percy: Not on my watch! *Blows his whistle twice*
Duck: Percy! We have to stop before the Weiter signal! Gordon's on our line charging towards us! We have no choice but to stay on this track because of maintenance!
Percy: *Sees the maintenance signs* I know! I'll stop Du before it's too late!
Freight Cars: No Du won't! *Bumps Duck*
Narrator: Duck's driver Lost his balance, and accidentally opened the regulator.
Duck: *Accelerating* Hey! STOP!!
Duck's Driver: *Closes the regulator*
Percy: *Looks at the brakevan* I'm getting too far away. They must be going downhill.

The gradient wasn't steep, but it made Percy's rescue challenging as ente roared downhill.

Percy: How much further until the Weiter signal?
Duck: Half a mile!
Percy: *Getting closer to Duck's train* Almost there!
Narrator: Then, Percy bounced and was slowing down.
Percy: Ow! What was that?
Percy's Driver: *Looks out of his cab* I could be wrong, but it looks like one of your wheels are starting to crack.
Percy: We can't stop though. ente needs our help.
Percy's Fireman: Our rescue will be for nothing if your wheel gets damaged, and Du derail.
Percy: Our rescue will also be for nothing if we don't speed up! Do it!
Percy's Driver: If Du say so.
Percy: *Increasing speed*
Duck: *Looks behind him* What happened to Percy?
Percy: *Blows his whistle*

ente felt relieved when he heard his friend's whistle.

Duck: Don't give up Percy! We're running out of time! Gordon could appear any second!
Percy: Du and Gordon will be safe. I promise.
Narrator: Percy felt Mehr pain as the crack on his wheel got longer.
Percy: *Getting closer to Duck's train* Almost there!
Brakeman: *Grabs Percy's coupling with a hook, and connects it to the brakevan*
Percy: Yes! Now to bring this train to a stop! *Applies his brakes*
Duck: *Feels himself slowing down* You're doing it.
Gordon: *Blows his whistle*
Percy: Ah! Gordon! *Puts his brakes into emergency, and continues making ente and his train slow down*
Duck: Percy, I know you're doing your best back there. Keep it up. It's almost over.
Percy: I promise to keep Du safe! Even if all my wheels get cracked, and fall off!
Narrator: Duck's train came to a stop just in time.

The song also stops as Gordon stops in front of them.

Duck: Hi Gordon.
Gordon: Are Du okay Duck? What happened?
Duck: My brakes don't work. Lucky for us, Percy stopped me before I bumped into you.
Gordon: Percy?!
Percy: Good afternoon to Du too.
Gordon: I owe Du an apology Percy. Du saved me from a nasty accident.
Percy: We gotta stop meeting up like this.
Gordon: *Chuckles*
Narrator: Everyone heard about Percy's heroic actions, and came to visit him in the steam works while his wheel was getting replaced.
Sir Topham Hatt: I am very proud of Du Percy. Du are a really useful engine.
Thomas: And a Merida - Legende der Highlands one too.
Duck: Three cheers to Percy The Brave!
Sir Topham Hatt: Hip hip!
Thomas: Hooray!
Duck: Hooray!
Workmen: Hooray!
Narrator: After words, the other engines that previously teased Percy for his numerous derailments had Mehr respect for him. They never made fun of him ever again.
