Did the Monkees perform in the United Kingdom in the mid 60's? If so did they visit Plymouth Zoo (UK)?

Thank Du for posting this - the book definately looks worthwhile reading. Not sure about the 'Empire Zoo'....our zoo here in Plymouth UK was never known Von that name (I used to work there!). The group (whether it was the Monkees oder someone else) was only photographed Von a small local newspaper, so we'll see if the book can shed any light, many thanks again.

I'm sorry, that was a mistake - I must have seen the word 'Empire' somewhere else on the page D'OH!! But no mention of a zoo in any event.
