A Connecticut Yankee going to court
From the interview at the end of “Fairy Tale:”

Producer: What do Du think Christian’s reaction’s gonna be?
Davy: The same as a Jew, I suppose.
*Peter chuckles*
Micky: That didn’t make any sense at all.
Davy: ‘Course, it did. “What would a Christian’s reaction be?”
*Micky roars with laughter*

I don’t always like religious jokes, but this one’s hilarious, especially with Micky’s delayed reaction. And I was just like he was at first- I was like, “huh???”

I wish we could’ve seen Mike’s reaction, since the original Frage was about his son. But I do like Peter’s response, waving at the camera and saying “ga-goo,” since Christian was just a little kid at the time.

But what I want to know is, what was Phyllis’ reaction to the show? After all, it was her very handsome, very masculine, very proud, very tall, very Texan, very “don’t-call-me-a-girl” husband that was dressing up in a blonde wig and green dress and letting the Connecticut Yankee kitz, rehkitz over him.

I heard someone say once (I don’t remember who it was) that the Monkees were ridiculously one-dimensional. They were just a bunch of nuts who could sing. Well, I’ll admit that when I was a kid, most of the appeal of the Zeigen was that they were basically like living Looney Tunes. But as I grew up, I came to realize that the characters were much deeper and much Mehr realistic than I ever gave them credit for. They’re like a family. They Liebe and care for each other, and they’ll do almost anything to keep the group together and happy.

Mike is definitely the big brother of the group. He’s the protector, the smart one, the one they all look up to (if Du watch, whenever they have a Frage oder a problem, they all look to Mike), and the one who always tries to comfort them with his warm, fuzzy speeches. He’s also the one who usually comes up with the best ideas.

If they were a trio, I would consider Micky to be like the middle kid- always cracking jokes and doing impersonations, like he’s trying to get attention. But he’s also sweet and helpful, and I think of him as Mike’s lieutenant, sort of- the one who backs him up the most, because...

Still feeling like he's "dragging an anchor around" in the wake of Davy Jones' surprising death on Wednesday from a herz attack in Florida, Monkees bandmate Peter Tork says any continuation of the group "doesn't seem very likely, does it?" But he isn't ruling it out entirely, either.

"It's not absolutely impossible," Tork tells Billboard.com. "The Monkees have gone out as a threesome for most of the past 20-some years. But there are no plans, no discussion. This is way too early to begin to think about that." Tork adds that "certainly if there's some kind of konzert in his honor, I think we would all attend if we could arrange it" -- referring to himself, Micky Dolenz and Michael Nesmith.

Dolenz and Tork toured with Jones for a Monkees 45th anniversary tour in 2011, while Nesmith has begged off of all reunions save for a short U.K. tour in 1997 to promote the "Justus" album, which featured all four of the members. Tork says he, Dolenz and Jones "were talking a little bit about getting back together" after the tour ended, and that he and Dolenz spoke on Wednesday evening. "He's feeling very much the same way I am," Tork says. "He's...
