Its way inappropriate. I dont think the author took into acount that there are some younger fanpoppers, that don't need to know that. Heck no one needs to know that!

Chapter XII

CONNOR

I have never been so scared in my life!
First, Reyna gets hurt! Bad.
Then, I come to check on her and she’s gone!
I wish I could tell you that I kept my cool. But, honestly, I freaked the Hades out.
I walked into her room and didn’t see her.
My feet nearly slid out from under me as I made a mad dash around the infirmary, looking for her.
My eyes started to water.
I turned a corner and screamed “REYNA!” with every ounce in my body.
Without thinking, I made my way to Jason’s room.
My body ran smack into something with a loud ‘OOMPH!’
I looked up and saw it was Reyna.
She gave me a look of shock, then fear.
I could tell that she was waiting for me to yell at her.
Instead, I pulled her in and hugged her. I didn’t care how long I had to sit there till I assured myself that she was okay.
My lips touched her ear as I whispered “Don’t do that. You scared me.”
The shock on her face deepened.
“What?” I asked.
She shook her head, then said “I just can’t believe that-that.”
I raised my eyebrow as she stopped herself.
“Can’t believe what?”
She looked me in the eye and said “That you care about me that much.”
I searched her eyes and couldn’t believe that she was serious.
I couldn’t help myself, I laughed.
She seriously thought that?!
“You have no idea.” I replied with dead honesty.
She looked at me bewildered then kissed me.
Guess what happened next!
Percy walked up!
Again!
If he does that one more time-
“Again?!” he exclaimed then chortled.
Reyna laughed, so I laughed, too.

Now, we were in the hospital-like room again.
I was sitting and watching her pack.
It was funny.
She raced around the room, searching for things to pack, and making sure she didn’t forget anything.
Every once in a while, she would see me watching and squirm a little bit, while I smirked.
“Are you just going to sit there? Or are you going to help me?” she snapped.
“Nah. I like watching.” I said slyly.
She blushed and I chuckled.
A couple more minutes of packing, and she exclaimed “Ready!”
“Great!” I said then jumped to my feet.
We walked, hand-in-hand, back to Reyna’s room.
She threw her stuff on her bed.
“Wait. Where’s Pulchra Bellator?” I asked.
She jumped up.
“Styx!” she cussed then ran out of the room.
I smiled to myself.
‘Pulchra Bellator’ is what Reyna and I named her dagger that I gave her.
It’s Latin for ‘Beautiful Warrior’.
Reyna was surprised when I went all out and looked up the Latin words.
To be honest, I just wanted to impress her.
I took a look around her room.
I thought about unpacking for her, but decided not to, she might think it’s an invasion of privacy.
My feet shuffled over to a chair.
I was about to plant my butt, when something caught my eye.
It was a piece of plain paper, folded up so you couldn’t read it. Obviously it fell off the desk and onto the floor.
You shouldn’t read it! I told myself.
The temptation was just too great.
I took timid steps to the secret letter.
I picked it up, looked over my shoulder, and unfolded it.
Correction: Not a letter, a poem.
“I didn’t know Reyna writes…” I said then looked around; making sure no one heard my slip-up.
The poem was written in beautiful print in neon purple that screamed of the paper.
I read it over and over till I memorized it.
It was called ‘If’ and it said:

If I died, would you miss me?

If I cried, would you cry with me?

If I broke, would you fix me?

If I smiled, would you laugh with me?

If I tripped, would you catch me?

If I fell, would you fall with me?

If I became ugly, would you stay with me?

If I said ‘I love you’, would you say it, too?

If all I said was ‘If’, would you say ‘Yes’?

My heart ached.
Did she write that about me?!
My thoughts were interrupted as the door opened.
I shoved the paper into my shirt pocket.
“I got it!” Reyna exclaimed as she walked in with Pulchra Bellator in her hands.
The huge smile on her face made me feel guilty.
“Everything okay?” she asked, her smile fading.
I walked up and entwined my fingers in hers.
“Perfect.” I smiled.
Her face lit up.
“So…” she said
“Wanna go for a walk?” I asked.
“Sounds great.” She said.
She ran and grabbed a beach towel.
“What’s that for?” I asked.
“You’ll see.” She gave me a mischievous smile that made my heart stop.
I was about to protest when she pulled my hand and yanked me out the door.
We walked in silence, enjoying each other’s company. I walked in rhythm with her, memorizing the feel of her hand in mine.
“Where are we going?” I asked, breaking the silence.
“A place I go for privacy.” She replied.
I felt my face heat up. She turned her head to see my reaction and blushed, too.
“To talk.” She added, beet red.
I flushed even more, but laughed.
She led me to a sand bar at the end of the Little Tiber.
“Ah.” I said, now getting why she brought a beach towel.
She gave me an ‘I told you so’ look.
“How was I supposed to know?!” I whined.
She laughed.
I grabbed the beach towel and started unfolding it.
I looked at her.
“What?” she asked.
“Be a gentleman and help me with this.” I snickered.
She huffed and grabbed the other end of the towel. She snapped the towel so hard that my end went flying up and smacked me in the face.
“Hey!” I whined.
She started giggling.
I grabbed the towel and rat-tailed her.
“Oow!” she protested, “That hurt!”
I laughed.
She flushed and turned away from me to smooth out the towel. Once she was done, she huffed and sat down. I laughed again and sat next to her.
Her eyes widened.
“What?” I asked, getting worried.
“What’s that in your pocket?” she asked slowly.
Styx!
“N-nothing.” I lied.
She reached over and yanked the object out of my shirt pocket.
She took a look at it, and then looked at me angrily.
“I’m sorry! I just saw it and I read it and-and I’m sorry!” I exclaimed.
Her angry was replaced by forgiveness.
“It’s okay. I just-just didn’t want you, err, anybody to read it.” She said.
“Did you write that about me?” I asked, hoping she won’t kill me.
She flushed and then nodded her head.
She unfolded it, and I could tell she was going to read it, before I interrupted her.
“’If I died, would you miss me?’ No. ‘If I cried, would you cry with me?’ No. ‘If I broke, would you fix me?’ No. ‘If I smiled, would you laugh with me?’ No. ‘If I tripped, would you catch me?’ No. ‘If I fell, would you fall with me?’ No. ‘If I became ugly, would you stay with me?’ No. ‘If I said ‘I love you’, would you say it, too?’ No. ‘If all I said was ‘If’, would you say ‘Yes’?’ No.” I stated.
Reyna looked at me with pure sadness. She lowered her head.
I grabbed her chin and brought her face to mine.
“If you died, I would die.
If you cried, I would do my best to make you laugh.
I can’t fix you, because you’re not broken.
If you smiled, my heart would stop.
If you tripped, I would sweep you off your feet.
I couldn’t fall with you, because I’m already falling for you.
You will never be ugly.
I would say ‘I love you’ first.
And if all you said was ‘If’, I wouldn’t just say ‘Yes’. I would say so much more.” I told her with pure honesty and high emotions.
She gave me a look that was beyond surprised. She leaned in, but I over exaggeratedly spun my head around.
“What are you doing?” she asked.
“Making sure our stalker, Percy, isn’t here.” I said then we both laughed.

Hope you liked my little poem I added in. That popped into my head and I wrote it down, thinking it would be great for a chappie.
