Currently a series regular on the CBS drama, which returns for its seventh season next month, Cumming is set to star in Showtime’s 

, a dark comedy about New York restaurateur Florent Morellet, our sister site Deadline reports.

will tell the true story of Morellet, who ran his French restaurant for 23 years.

They since said they’re open to staying on longer. I hope they decide to end it this season. I think it’s time.

The character of Eli could always be written out or given less screen time. It doesn’t hurt that CBS and Showtime are sister networks so I’m sure some sort of scheduling deal could be made.
