Is cosplay expensive?

Cosplay can be pricey, but if Du know how to use resources, Du can cut back the price significantly.

Figure out what Du can craft on your own, and what Du absolutely must buy. Shop around at thrift stores for things that look similar to what Du need and make adjustments. It won't be perfect, but it will cost much less than buying a pre-made costume online.

This sort of tactic would probably be best for a Homestuck cosplay, anyway. The priciest thing you'll be perchasing is probably either a wig oder contacts, and those can be bought cheaply if Du know where to look.

YES. Cosplay is really, really expensive.

If Du were to cosplay homestuck, I would think Du would spend less than 30 to 40 dollars for a good cosplay per say.

styrofoam for the horns (styrofoam optional)
eye contact lenses
teeth
wig
clothes (I suggest looking through the thrift store first)

I dunno about Homestuck, but cosplay is almost ALWAYS (if not always) super expensive. I only have 5 cosplay attires...

It really depends on who you're trying to cosplay and how resourceful Du are.

IT is very expensive, unless Du know how to make cosplay costumes.
