Omigosh, I had almost forgotten about the "guaguas" -- the little local buses. Had to laugh at their presence in the list as "wa-wa." No idea how the expression came to be -- in the dictionary it means a crying baby!

It is almost accurate. But it includes new slang and old slang, jibaro y callejero, monte y mar. One of the reasons most of the words aren't used today is because grandma used to say these words, so they're old, as repeated.
