Leaf (FireRed and Leafgreen Version)
About Leaf: There are many complications in fandom when it comes to Leaf. She and her Adventures Manga counterpart, Blue/Green, are often mixed up with eachother, despite being very different. Leaf is the first female character to start off in Pallet Town.
Leaf's journey begins when she is called out to visit Professor Oak's lab. When there, she meets up with her rival of the game, Blue, and recieves her starter pokemon.Shortly after the two are called back to the lab to recieve their pokedexs.
Blue is very involved in Leaf's story. While they are off completing their pokedexs and defeating gymleaders, Blue is always one step ahead. When Leaf goes to battle the Elite Four near the end of the game, she finds her rival to be the Indigo League Champion. As she defeats him in their last battle, Leaf is gegeben the Titel of champion, finally proving who is the better trainer.
Throughout the game, Leaf struggles with Team Rocket. She defeats a group of grunts attempting to steal fossils at Mt. Moon, defeats a group at the bridge of Cerulean City, protects the Pokemon Tower, and foils their plot to take over Silph Co..Giovanni is defeated when Leaf goes to defeat him as a gymleader. Thereafter, Team Rocket is finally demolished thanks to this girl.
Facts About Leaf:
-Despite there being four games in Kanto before FR/LG (Red, Green, Blue, Yellow), Leaf only apears now.
-Her hat resembles a Premier Ball.
-Jigglypuff in Super Smash Brothers:Brawl can wear Leaf's hat.
- Even though Leaf isn't introduced until the third generation, Blue/Green (manga counterpart) is introduce in the Sekunde volume of Pokemon Adventures.
-When not played as Leaf, she doesn't appear at all in the game.
Espeongirl360's Personal Opinion:
First off, *cyber clap*, I give Leaf props. I mean, Red has been there since the begining. Heck, Du could call him the foundation of all Pokemon trainers. I have found that Fans (especially pokemon fans) hate anything new because they are never as good as the original, so Leaf had a lot on her back when she appeared in FR/LG. Unfortunately... I feel as if this is why people don't care for her.
As for me, I think she is strong and beautiful in everyway. But again, Leaf is my Favorit so it's not a suprise that I would say this. I know how it feels to have someone always better than Du and it sucks. Bravo to Leaf for working hard and defeating Blue.
