AppSnap: App lets you to ‘dress up’ as a KISS band member

GRAND FORKS – Most of the time when singers or bands release an app, it centers around their music, but with KISS, they had something different in mind.

The band’s new app, called KISS Official Photo App, allows you to decorate a photo with official KISS makeup, costumes and instruments.

The KISS app is available for iPhones for free through the Apple App Store and will soon be available for Android and the Apple iPad.

The app is easy to use and follow. It opens by having you either take a photo or upload one from your photo stream.

After that, you’re able to add stickers to decorate your photo like a member of the world-famous band. Stickers range from Gene Simmons’ tongue to the famous face paint the band members wear. You’re able to adjust the sticker to make it fit perfectly on your photo.

After you finish jazzing up your photo, you can share it via social media, email or text.

Outside of that, there isn’t much more to the app, which is fine. The app still provides what it sets out to do.

I wish, however, that it did provide something a little more. The free app only provides the user a small number of “style packs,” with the others needing to be purchased. That greatly limits the number of ways you can decorate your photo.

But the KISS Official Photo App is still a fun way to spend a few minutes, even if the whole concept is sort of goofy.

Overall, if you’re looking to have fun with your friends, want to send a hilarious photo or you’re a big KISS fan, this app is worth the download just so you can see what you would look like as a member of the band.
