A Security Guard on the Navy CIS set was tragically killed in an accident that occured on Wednesday at around 10.10 AM. It has been stated that this tragic accident occured on location in Santa Clarita.
The accident itself occured at an empty industrial building frequently used for TV productions.
The guard was struck Von the driver of a van, who Lost consciousness at the wheel when he had a medical emergency. The guard was later pronounced dead at Henry Mayo Memorial Hospital.
The incident is currently being investigated Von local authorities in Santa Clarita to determine what actually went wrong, until this is resolved all Navy CIS production will be suspended.
CBS has made a statement about the on-set accident. "Everyone at the network, the studio and Navy CIS is devastated Von the news. Our hearts grieve for his family and Friends for this tragic loss. We are, of course, cooperating with the local authorities in Santa Clarita to help determine what caused this terrible accident. Production on the Zeigen has been suspended."
The producers of the Zeigen also released a Statement regarding the accident. "With profound sympathy we mourn the tragic passing of our co-worker and friend. 'NCIS' is a family. And, as with any family, we are deeply saddened Von this unexpected loss. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his loved ones."
Navy CIS Star, Pauley Perrette (Abigail 'Abby' Sciuto) tweeted about the accident Wednesday afternoon."It was a tragic accident on the 'NCIS' set/ We are all mourning. 'NCIS' cast & crew is a tight knit family. We Liebe each other. All prayers to the family of our security guard. We Lost one of our own today."
