I think I just figured out a major LOST question! In 'Pilot Part 1', Jack, Kate and Charlie are running away from the monster and Jack gets seperated from them both saving Charlie.
I reckon when Jack 'dove into some bushes' Ol' Smokey did a Eko and Juliet on him. Remember in 'The Cost Of Living' Mr Eko saw people from his past. So I think the same happened to Jack in 'White Rabbit' but he didn't see Yemi... he saw his father.
