Don't you all think a lot has been made in the trailers about the date the season starts? They constantly are saying "They crashed 9.22.04, 31.1.08 rescue arrives."

I think this links in with a theory I read once. Time passes very quickly on the island. What seems like a few months to them is actually a few years. Maybe January 31st is the actual date in the Lost world when rescue arrives.
