Dr. House Subtle Symbolism?

I remember hearing in "You Don't Want to Know" that House is blood type AB, and Wilson is blood type O. Now I've been learning a little about blood types in science lately and AB people can take from all and O people can give to all, and I just suddenly realized how symbolic that is of House and Wilson's characters...coincidence?

Erm...they actually mention this in that episode. Wilson comments that AB is the universal receiver, and House makes a comment about how O is the universal donor and Wilson asks how the heck House knows Wilson's blood type. House says it just fits with his character, but Wilson says House has been snooping around or something.

But yes, I think it is a strong symbolism.

Yeah, I thought that was very interesting! It's funny that the characters themselves discussed the symbolism of it, lol. Although I can't help but wonder if it's also forshadowing, and will be brought up again at some time in the future...
