I didn't necessarily liked that Dumbledore died, but it was generally a good ending for the book.

I think it was so sad that he died, therefore I had to pick no that I didnt like it. However, I think that it was good to a certian extent...He had such a good service, the centaurs and the mermaids came. So did Grawp, how sweet was that.

i loved it cos all the stops have been pulled out now and anyone could die.

It was very sad but a fitting way to end the book and a great way for Harry to mature and prepare himself for the events in the seventh book

I honestly think that the new dumbledore (the new actor) isn't very good. The other guy was a whole lot better at the role. It's so sad that he died before movie 3.

I've said it before, I'll say it again-- Dumbledore (and the archetype he embodies) HAD to die in order for Harry to come into his own. BUT, the mentor always leaves something behind to help his young protege along the way. Look at classic examples like Star Wars (Luke and Obi Wan) and Lord of the Rings (Gandalf and Frodo)

IT was soemthing that had to happen.

I loved it, but I cried continuously throughout the last few chapters.

It had to happen or other wise Harry would have just relied on dumbeldore protecting and helping all the time.But it was sad that Dumbeldore died.

It was something that had to happen to motivate Harry i think and dumby wouldent have the heart to tell harry about (*AHEM* SPOLIER*AHEM*) having part of voldiys soal in him u know, as he dident have the heat to tell him when they found out about him bracking up his soal and stuff...

Well, even if it was a bad ending it sort of added more drama in Harry Potter 6! And if the ending wasn't like that can anyone think of a better one with all the drama and coolness?

ok why wouldn't you like the ending????? yes, dumbledore died but he was going to die anyway because of that curse on his hand! Also, if he wouldn't have died, then harry, ron, and hermione wouldn't have gone on this great adventure and harry wouldn't have realized that he can do it. it's a key part of the story people, just because its sad doesn't mean it wasn't a good ending. Hey, i cried too, but you have to understand that everything that happened was for the best and Harry actually was showing Ginny that he loved her even more by trying to protect her!! duh.

Even though Dumbledore was "betrayed" by Snape and the horcrux wasn't real, it was the perfect set up for the next book. When everything falls to shit, you know it's going to get awesome really soon.

I was heartbroken. I couldn't believe he died. But I agree, Harry did need to get motivated somehow. Stupid Harry, why did Dumbledore have to die to get you motivated! lol Jokes :D It was a great ending to the book but I'm still picking No coz Dumbledore died!! I really didn't expect it at all, i didn't like that he died, i liked the ending it was brilliant, but i didn't want him to die, and i totally didn't expect it. when they were in that tower i was on the edge of my seat buzzing, so yeah as Sylarfan said it was sad but totally Epic :)
