The Murphys are without a doubt one of, if not THE, greatest live act of our time. They always have a good mix of newer songs and old classics.
The crowds aren't as fun anymore though. It's all Red Sox wannabes who seem to think DKM formed when the Red Sox won the world series. I remember seeing them in 2003, I was only 13 and the whole audience was skinheads and punks. Nowadays a skinhead like myself will get nasty looks, because the new Fans still think skinhead=neo nazi and seem to forget that Al Barr fronted one of America's greatest non-racist skin bands in the early 90s (The Bruisers). At least they still let Du jump on stage for "Skinhead on the MBTA" at the end, fun times. The band is great as ever, I Liebe the ever-growing celtic influence, but some of these new Fans have got to go. Ah well, they will when a new trend comes along.
