The ratings were quite high, as Eccleston and Piper made their debut. Ratings reaching a whopping 10.81 million!!!
As I am sure Du are aware. 'Doctor Who' has been running for almost 49 years. Furthermore, I think we can all agree that it is a very quintessential part of any Whovian's life, anywhere and everywhere.
However, there have been arising speculations over the last two years, resulting in my apprehension about the show's future increase with every passing hour.

Assuming Du have read/skimmed through the above articles, I hope my concern for the show's ratings are Mehr coherent to you. Nonetheless, I don't think anything oder anyone can articulate greatly I fear for the show's future.
But be that as it may, all I can do is enhance my optimism to the fullest possible degree, in the hope this will keep 'Doctor Who' running.

Note: the ratings gegeben in the captions of the pictures are not accounting for the Weihnachten specials in the series; only the 13 episodes in each series. Of course the Zeigen has high ratings at Christmas!!!! :)
Nonetheless, I will write them here instead, so we can see if there is a negative/positive correlation from 2005 to this very juncture:
2005 'The Weihnachten Invasion' (Tennant): 9.8 million.
2006 'The Runaway Bride' (Tennant): 9.4 million.
2007 'Voyage of the Damned' (Tennant): 13.31 million.
2008 'The Weiter Doctor' (Tennant): 13.1 million.
2009/10 'The End of Time' (Tennant): 12.04 and 12.27 million.
2010 'A Weihnachten Carol' (Smith): 12.11 million.
Hmm...taking the above statistics into consideration, one may conclude that the Weihnachten ratings have gone down slightly. However, are higher than 2005/06. Nevertheless, Lesen the captions under each picture may suggest otherwise about the series in general.
Even higher, now as Tennant enters the scene. Ratings reaching an impressive 9.2 million!!!!
Still significantly high as Agyeman makes her debut. Ratings reaching a respectable 8.7 million!
Ratings incredibly high from 2008-09. Ratings even reaching a massive 10.57 million!!!!!!!!!!!!!
With Smith and Gillan on board, it seems ratings are still high with 10.08 million.
Conversely, ratings have decreased to 8.86 million at this point. :( So, what is the fate of everyone's preferable sci-fi show? All in good time, fellow Whovians...
