Better characters, better relationships, better animation, better villain, better main character, and better story! Rise of The Guardians is brilliant and How To Train Your Dragon is mediocre. I always end up forgetting about How To Train Your Dragon after watching it. With Rise of The Guardians, I feel nostalgic for it, even though I didn't grow up with it. It kind of seems like a Disney film.

^Agreed. I think Jack himself has become a bit overrated but he's a better character than Hiccup in the first one at least is. I get it's just for humor but there's so many unpleasant characters in the HTTYD movies. I would say Hiccup and his parents (and of course the dragons) are the best.

Why Rise of the Guardians still languishes in relative obscurity while How to Train Your Dragon gets endless praise for being one of the most predictable, formulaic, unoriginal, cliche storms in animation history is beyond me.

By Far! I've never liked How To Train Your Dragon; the characters are flat, the plot is confusing, the animation sucks, and the jokes are lame. Rise of the Guardians, on the other hand, is timeless masterpiece, IMO.

Neither really. I really dislike both, but I strongly dislike HTTYD.
