Muramasa had a more interesting background story. It was quite saddening when Kouga turned on him. Poor bastard. Shusuke was pretty cool, but not as a good a character as Muramasa. XD

Muramasa was deep! I felt interested on him since the beginning, as he's very unusual. I get to enjoy more a character when they are complex, so that's what really caught my attention. He's just unique!

@Lisseth, agree. He was very unique. When I first saw the Arc, I thought he was just a typical villain, then I got through most of the episodes and realised just how epic he was. XD

Muramasa doesn't make much sense to me, in truth. I understand he blind love for Koga, but aside from being a very strange ability for shikai, all his actions seem completely contrary. Forcing other zanpakutou to manifest due to their dissatisfaction for their master while he is just the opposite--a master who is dissatisfied with him--is too ironic for even my tastes. He had it coming when he was betrayed, and I kind of saw it coming.

Amagai, on the other hand, was genuinely interesting. I could see him becoming a captain, despite being a filler arc.

Muramasa was driven insane by his determination to revive his master, while Amagai was driven insane by revenge. Muramasa scared me.

Ya but anyone can do a revenge plot! Muramasa kicked ass most of the time!

I think there's probably a tie in this one for me..both were good for me.

Muramasa is one of my fav in bleach,he is on my top 10!!! i actually cried when saw his story:(

Muramasa was by far my favorite filler character, and favorite filler villain. It was seriously heartbreaking when Koga stabbed him..

Muramasa's appearance minus the fluffy hood is the most interesting and fitting design. The purple? The gray? Long nails and mood? I figured he was going to be near top ten on a popularity poll, but this here fan comment is way better.

Ah, his story isn't bad. It's not of those shameful revenge plots. However, Kubo didn't talk much more about him, so I can't say he has the best story and mind. I think he is plainly more of the magical villain that was called for.
