WHAT?! THERES a movie coming out?? When did you find this out??

Looking forward to it, but as the pick says, it will be hard to be 'like' the cartoon, would be for any show. Cant wait to see if Jessie will look like zuko when its done lol if so Jessie will hacve a new fan mmwwwahhhh

I'm not too worried. I think M. Knight Shayalman (how ever you spell what's his face's name lol) is a great director and I think we might all be pleasantly surprised in his choices. :)

I love Shyamalan's movies, it's just that he's never directed anything like this before. Plus, they're casting caucasians instead of asians! I mean, Jesse McCartney as Zuko? WTH?!

Actually, dustfinger, it's the exact opposite. It's more difficult/expensive to do fantasy in live action than in cartoons.

Yeah, for me I was really sad about the casting--Having the director be of south-asian descent, I would've thought that he'd be more open to having a multi-cultural cast. It might end up being a super cool movie, but it is a little weird that ALL the main characters are portrayed as white. (The avatar world is made up of different nations/cultures/peoples, right?)

Actually my arguement has just been proved wrong. "Slumdog Millionaire" star Dev Patel has agreed to join the cast of The Last Airbender and will be playing the part of Zuko.
