Do Du think that Jason adjusted to 'Atlantis' life too quickly?

This is quite an issue in terms of Jason's character development for me. On the first episode, he was a bit shocked to have gone to another land bristling with greek gods and mathematical heroes, but after that, he didn't even bat an eyelid. There has hardly been any signs of sorrow shown Von him about leaving his past life behind him. They really should have incorporated this into his character, as it has made him lack realism.
What do Du think? Do Du agree with me oder do Du think that I'm just being too picky?
