I don't find it the same as Balto. They both may be wolf movies, but they're totally different. It's not the same thing.

pretty similar characters Humphrey's fat friend (Nikki) Humphrey tall friend (Kaltag) Humphrey's small friend (Star) but totally different storyline. Not to mention, goose with caddy (Boris.)

I miss the uriaha from like six months ago when I joined. He would have never sai that. I haven't seen the movie though, so I can't comment too much. I can't figure out a way to ask for movie tickets to a childrens movie without be very embarresed. Anyone have suggestions?

Bolt had that sweet innocence that Alpha and Omega lacks. That being said, Alpha and Omega was a great movie, higher than Bolt on my list.

I Thought A&O Was a ripoff because, it copied alot of aspects of Balto. and wasnt original, it had a slight change in the story but thats all, it didnt really satisfy me when i say Balto 1 because i thought A&O Is a Copy and i didnt watch it anymore.

Basically the same concept, different story line.

No, honestly, they are WAY different... Although I must say Balto had a bit more creative storyline/plot.

This is nothing like Balto. Balto is about a wolf-husky that tries to save a town of children from a deadly outbreak of diptheria. This movie has none of that. The only similarites is that this movie is about wolves. Whoever thinks this movie is a rip off is an idiot. I guess any animated films about wolves is an automatic rip off. Grow some brains people.

Balto was based off the real balto. and Alpha and Omega was about two wolves who try to get home .so why do people think it's ripping of the other? it makes no sense!

Maybe they took some ideas from Balto, but I don't realy know,
because I have only seen A&O Balto style trailer and readed about Balto.
I saw the goose and bears, so that's why I though like that.

Maybe there's a little connection with Lady and the Tramp, exactly - the title, but title isn't everything.
Story seems to be edited from this, because in it Lady gets kidnapped by dogcatcher (looks like relocation) and Tramp have to get her back (in A&O it was a bit different, but they had to go back and Humphrey proably saved Kate's life).
BTW, it was my friend's idea, not mine, so don't yell at me, guys ;)

Balto sucked in my view... Play a balto movie around me I'll do either 2 things
1) fall asleep
2) Take it out and break it then burn while laughing then get the case and tear it up the burn its left over's.
Besides A&O is WAY better than balto 1,2 and 3. They all suck. I hate Balto.

I agree, based on previous movies such as Balto 1,2 and 3 I don't see such a resemblance in the plot or that enough to consider it a "rip off", although they do focus on family and adventure, but such things are so generic themes to consider them alike, also that "cliché" as you say is pretty much true -in my opinion, I would even say its kind of authentic.

Well, it's similar to Balto and TLK with the whole stampede thing and Balto's Boris the goose. Though, I actually gotta admit, it does have a different storyline.

I've seen all movies of both franchises and I see nothing of similarities except for the part where they are both part of the canis lupus family.

Alpha and omega is different than balto

It's a completely different story. There are no half-wolves, no sledding, Humphrey doesn't save an entire town from disease and Garth isn't a big asshat like Steele. If anything, the only similarity between both movies is that there is a supporting goose with a foreign accent.
