Spring Of 2011 Part 1. "Kate's School."
Ever since the marriage, Kate and Humphrey have been the happiest Wölfe in the pack. Garth and Lilly haven't been spending too much time together, which is severely hurting their marriage. Lilly mostly spends time with her parents and when Humphrey is gone she hangs out with Kate. Garth has been helping his dad out around the höhle, den trying to make his dads life easier. When winter was over and the spring Blumen came out, Kate has been teaching Humphrey how to hunt. She started him off on smaller Tiere like Pika and racoons. She is first trying to teach him stealth, and he is slowly catching on. She promised him tomorrow she would let him go out on his own and see if he can bring back a biber that has been flooding the fields due to backing up the stream. When they got Home they found Lilly in the back of the höhle, den crying. So Humphrey left to play with mooch. Kate asked Lilly whats wrong and Lilly sagte that Garth snapped at her today. "Are Du OK Lilly? Did he get mad oder did he actually bite you?" "He just got mad." "Well stay the night with us, get sometime apart." Humphrey returned at dusk when the moon was an orange-red from the pollution in the air caused Von the humans. He then quietly approached Kate due to Lilly sleeping in the middle of the cave on one of the Mehr softer parts of the rock. "Why is she sleeping here?" "Her and Garth have been having some problems in their marriage." "Is she OK?" "Ya she's fine, Garth is just not Schauspielen very nice. That's all" "Will she be here tomorrow?" " No she will spend time with Mom and Dad tomorrow at sunrise. Then she will try to talk with him." Just as they were getting ready to lay down they heard a noise coming form the entrance of the cave. Then they heard a deep growl and when they looked up, they could barely make out 2 bobcats at the entrance. They must have came from the smell of the dead deer. Kate kept thinking. And then they charged Lilly, and Kate jumped in front and grabbed the female as her body spun around and hit the male in the face causing him to hit the side of the cave. The female bobcat broke loose and bit Kate's foot. Then the male came for her throat when all of a sudden Garth came in smashing the male into the wall, and slitting his throat with his claws. Then the female threw Kate to the ground and bit the back of her head. Winston came in to the cave and ripped the bobcat apart until it bled to death. All the Wölfe were awaken from the growls and barks of the fight, and soon surrounded the cave. Kate's mother tended to her wounds, and Garth walked up to Lilly and asked her to forgive him for how he was treating her, and asked everyone to come outside. "My father is getting older and weaker. He currently has had a herz attack. I want to apologize to being rude to everyone, and especially my mate Lilly. But I cant leave my dad alone. He is the last parent I have, and if I don't be with him helping him, he will probably die. And I can't have that. His cave is currently well protected so if what just happened here would happen at his den, they will not be able to get to him. He will live for another few years, but will weaken up tremendously up to that point. Eve, I made a höhle, den close to his and can Du and Winston Bewegen into it so if he has problems Du wont be far away?" "Yes we will Garth, Winston likes new places." "Thanks a lot and if anyone thinks there is a problem please check on him. I have a patrol that will visit for a half Stunde at a time every hour. Each will take turns with him oder at the opening of the den. Thanks everyone!" After the big speech, Kate got a wake up call on life, she didn't want to be with just Humphrey her whole life. She wanted a child. But she was too embarrassed to ask. It was currently mating season but she thought Weiter Jahr would be a good time after Humphrey was well trained. When the sun rose the Weiter morning, Kate woke Humphrey who hardly got any sleep thinking about his parents. But when he saw Kate his sadness went away and his happiness replaced it. She told him its time to get that pesky biber and rip apart the damn on the river. He happily sprinted away taking on a 20 Minute run to the river where he would Zeigen Kate he is capable of stealth and would go onto larger prey. Von the time Humphrey reached the damn, a black bär was catching fisch in the stream, so he decided to see how close he could get to the bear, and rip the damn apart so the biber would come back to fix it. And once he sneaked down the hill, and he ran into his worst nightmare, a sleeping grizzly bear. He tried to back away slowly, but he slipped on the wet bank and went straight into the bear. When the bär rose, he remembered the 3 bears that chased him and Kate last year. But this time there was no mountain to sled down. He tried to get up the bank but kept slipping. When the bär growled the black bär ran into the forest to prevent being attacked. The grizzly charged him and clawed his back. Humphrey cried for help and his cry was heard Von an omega farther up the stream. The omega ran for Winston. He ran faster then he ever had before, and when he finally reached Winston's old cave, he realized he moved out already. While he was searching for Winston, Humphrey was slashed across the side, and bit on the back. He managed to get into the water and was flown downstream in the current. He hit a rock and got up on oben, nach oben of it. The bär chased him even faster, and Humphrey grew too weak from the injuries, and he fell down. The bär took one last blow and was sure that Humphrey was dead. The bär walked through the current like it was nothing, and went to the other side, then disappeared into the woods. Kate was the first to the scene but couldn't find Humphrey. Once can-do and the other alphas came she was so scared that he was taken she put all the alphas out to find him. 10 Minuten into the Suchen an omega that was wondering around trying to help, fell into the rushing water and was taken down stream. He then got on a rock and saw Humphrey laying down on the ground. He cried out to the Alpha's and they came rushing down. Eve followed close behind, and was so sad to see him in that bad of shape. He was bleeding large amounts of blood, and was hurt pretty much all over his body. "Quickly, take him away from the swampy gras, grass and up to the oben, nach oben of the hill. Winston get him some leaves to cover his wounds. Humphrey's beautiful Farben were covered in the sad sight of blood and gashes. Kate started to cry and howl. Winston came back with leaves and eve quickly placed them on his wounds. " Mom, will he be OK?" "Lilly, he will either die, oder make a recovery in 4 weeks, until then he needs to stay in my höhle, den so I can closely watch over him. 3 weeks have passed and still no sign of life, his wounds did heal over a bit, but he never moved a muscle. Kate growing less and less hopeful of her mates recovery could only cry and think about the good times they had. 5 weeks later and still no sign of change, Eve sagte his wounds are too great, and he is in a coma. "Kate dear, he may never come out of his coma and if he doesn't eat he will die of starvation. We have to end his misery and bury him tomorrow." Kate went to her höhle, den and cried so hard, she never knew she could do that. All the Wölfe felt so bad for her but could do nothing. Then the Weiter morning Kate returned to her mothers den, and when she went to see Humphrey for the last time, he was gone! Eve and Winston just waking up were shocked! They thought a cougar oder fuchs came in last night and dragged him out. And then out of no where, a dead biber fell at Kate's side and there was Humphrey standing there perfectly alive. Just banged up. She through her arms around him with Joy and rubbed her nose on his. She was so happy her mate was still alive! The whole pack cheered for joy to see him alive, and well. Even Tony came out of his cave to see Humphrey alive. He too had a small tear of joy in his eye. After 2 Mehr weeks, he made a full recovery and Went to his Weiter hunting lesson on taking down bigger animals.
