After a small slice of cake, I walked over to Artemis.
“Hey, Artemis. If Green Arrow is my dad, and you’re his niece, doesn’t that mean we’re cousins?!” I asked
“Yeah, we’re cousins” she sounded almost guilty
“I’m so happy I finally have family” I said, hugging her. When she hugged me, she pushed on the sensitive spots in my sides and I squeaked like a little girl. We started to laugh. My dad came up to me, holding a parcel wrapped in navy blue paper.
“Presents!” he announced
“Presents?” I asked
“You know, gifts gegeben to the person of honor” he explained
“At the dojo, we never got presents; we simply enjoyed the Favorit Essen of the person of honor, congratulated them, and then went back our regular activities” I explained
“Well, you’re not at the dojo anymore are you?” he persisted, holding out the parcel
“I will not accept presents from my Friends without giving them one in return” I sagte stubbornly
“As your father, I say Du must open the presents, oder you’re grounded” Green Arrow announced
“You really want me to take these gifts without giving Du anything in return?” I demanded
“Yes!” they all exclaimed
I gave an exasperated sigh. I took the gift from my dad and neatly unwrapped it. It was a box. I opened it to find a locket. I opened the locket to find it already had my mother and father’s pictures in them. I hugged my father gratefully.
“Oh, oh! Me next” Wally demanded, obviously getting impatient. I smiled slyly.
“I think I’ll open… hmm” I saw everyone had a gift for me. “I think I’ll open the presents in alphabetical order” I continued, smirking at Wally. Artemis handed me her present. It was in a large bag. I pulled out the tissue paper to find a blue tee hemd, shirt with a moon on it. It said: ‘Mysterious as the dark side of the moon. That’s me’
“How’d Du know my size?” I asked
“I asked Megan, who found your party outfit” she smiled
I continued with Super Boy because his under cover name was Connor Kent. He got me some navy blue Nike running shoes that fit like a charm. I thanked him and continued with Kalder. He had gotten me the most beautiful pair oder earrings on the planet; they were Gold hearts with jewels in the middle. I thanked him with a KISS and a huge hug. When I had kissed Kalder, Green Arrow cleared his throat loudly. I rolled my eyes, smiling. I have a dad for four day’s and he’s already over protective! Megan was next. She had gotten me a cook book full of recipes, with extra pages at the back to add my own recipes.
“How’d Du know I like to cook?” I asked
“I just had a feeling” she said, smiling
I opened Robins present next. He had gotten me a hacking kit.
It came with a book and a bunch of wires connecting into a navy blue
handschuh that went with my suit perfectly. The Bücher Titel was ‘Hacking
for beginners’. I looked at him, smiling, slightly shaking my head. Finally,
I got to Wally’s present. It was a small square shape. I opened it. It was a
CD titled ‘Random Mix’. I looked at the songs on the back and realized it
was all of my Favorit song from the karaoke machine with words.
“How- no where did Du get this?” I asked
“I made it. With a bit of help from Robin and Kalder, that is” he
explained. I thanked him and put it with my other presents.*Ahem* I
turned around to see Batman with a present in his hands.
