Chapter Nineteen
“How are Du holding up, sweetheart?” Damien turned do he could see her from the drivers seat. Glory’s hand drifted up to touch her cheek, feeling the now scabbed over scratch.
“ How do Du think I’m doing?” She snapped.
“ I’ll take that as a good.” He chuckled as he glanced in the rear view mirror to check if anyone was behind them.
“ Do Du think Du could tell him to lay down oder something?” Glory glared at Collin, still in Tiger form, sitting on the sitz Weiter to her.
Damien’s laugh echoed around the car.
“ Collin, Du better shift in case we do get pulled over.” Damien was driving at a break neck speed down the road.
Glory glared at Collin until finally his pelz began to shrink until it finally disappeared revealing a ordinary looking guy. Not extraordinarily beautiful like the rest of them. That was a first. Almost as if he could read her thoughts, his claws slid out of his finger nails with a sound like a sword being drawn from a sheath.
“Easy killer.” Glory muttered. A snarl slid from between Collin’s clenched teeth but he didn’t say anything.
Glory waited for him to speak, smirking a little to irritate him more. His hard brown eyes drilled back into hers.
“ Nicolas decided Collin talked too much so he had a witch put a little spell on him. He can only speak when Nicolas speaks to him first.”
Glory’s eyes flew over to Collin in horror.
“ That’s horrible.” Her herz filled with pity for the poor boy.
“ Don’t pity him. It makes him furious.” Damien advised.
Too late, Glory thought to herself and glanced over at Collin. His tiger ears had appeared and so had his tail. He looked like he was trapped between stages. His tail flicked in annoyance.
“Where are we going?” Glory sagte and peered out the window. But the tinted windows stopped her from seeing outside.
“ Du don’t need to concern yourself with that. We’ll get there when we get there.”
Glory frowned and leaned back against the seat.
Her eyes drifted shut, despite what situation she was in, and she drifted off to sleep.
Aden’s hand ghosted down the side of her cheek, and paused, his thumb stroked her cheek.
“ Aden? What are Du doing here?” Glory blinked at looked around, expecting Damien and Collin to appear any second.
“ No, they cant get here.” He leaned down so they could be at the same eye level.
“ Where are we exactly?” Glory stared up into his golden eyes, thinking to herself that she could stay like this forever.
Aden shifted uncomfortably and glanced away.
“Aden?” Glory persisted.
“ I’m in your dream.” He finally answered.
“ You’re what? So Du mean I’m not just having a Zufällig dream?”
His oben, nach oben teeth raked over his bottom lip, drawling her attention to their fullness.
“Glory, listen to me.”
But Glory’s attention was all ready lost. Her eyes focused on his lips and she leaned forward.
“ Du have the worst timing.” Aden groaned and leaned vorwärts-, nach vorn a inch oder so too.
“ No. I think my timing is perfect.” Glory murmured. Her lips were less than an inch away from his.
“ Glory, I really need to tell Du some things.” He was so close she could feel the soft air brush across her lips as his lips moved.
“ Cant Du tell me later?” Glory brushed her lips across his.
He sighed and his lips brushed across hers in return.
“ Well yes, but as long as we’re here, your body is asleep back in Damien‘s car. I don’t trust him with your body.”
Glory giggled. Whoa. This in a dream state was doing weird things to her personality.
“ It’s because Du really are in a dream. I’m just controlling it. But Du aren’t really yourself.” Aden sagte and grasped her upper arms, pushing her gently away. Was she really throwing herself at him with out even knowing?
“ Glory. I’m serious. I need to tell Du some things. Things that are very important.”
“ Oh all right.” She crossed her arms and stared at him.
“ Du can not believe anything Nicolas tells you. He will feed your mind with lies to try and turn Du against me.”
Glory nodded and tried to focus on his words, not how her fingers would feel running over his washboard abs.
“ Glory.” His words grated out between clenched teeth.
“Hm?” She jerked her eyes up from looking at his crossed arms.
“Stop tempting me.”
“Tempting you?” She asked innocently.
“ Du know what you’re doing. Control your thoughts.” Aden snapped, the kindness fading from his eyes. Glory blinked and put two and two together. She didn’t just fall asleep in Damien’s car. Aden made her sleep, just like her did the Tag they first met.
“ How are Du even here?”
“When Du sagte that Du loved me, even though Du just thought it, it broke the spell just a little bit more. I have many new powers. I’m a much stronger telepathic now, among other things.”
His eyes grew distant for a moment, and then focused on her intensely.
“ I need to send Du back now. They’re almost there. Just remember, I will come for you.”
“Wait! I don’t want to leave you!” Glory cried and threw herself into his arms, trying to hold on. The sensation of fading away filled her. Aden’s mouth was on her’s, Küssen her with such passion it took her breath away. She locked her arms around his neck and ran her fingers into his hair. His chest rumbled as he groaned, and his mouth left her’s. His mouth moved to her throat, and then something stabbed her with a pain so intense she screamed.
Glory sat up, her scream still leaving her mouth.
“ Whoa, take it easy sweetheart.” Damien murmured as he removed his hand from her neck.
“What did Du do?” Glory breathed as she ran her fingers along her neck. No bite marks were there.
“ Oh that was Collin being stupid. I told him to wake Du up, not stab Du in the neck.”
Glory shot a glare Collin’s way.
“ But that’s not the point, sweetheart. We’re here.”
